Back home from Trafford Centre and restoring from iCloud onto the new 16 Pro. Love the lighter feel and the slightly bigger screen, makes a meaningful difference over the 14 Pro. Mrs likes it enough to ask if she’s able to upgrade from her 14 pro on iUP (she’s made the minimum number of payments).

got my black 16 pro from regent street this AM. My battery setting says phone assembled in July 2024, usually this says Sept, guess that's another reason why stock is still available.

35 beans for them to do the screen protector though is extortion. I always mess them up though.

Only benefit is it’s under warranty so if it cracks you can get a new one

I walked past the apple store but there was a big queue, debating whether to qué up or not.

Really wish Apple still did the leather cases, I find the silicone ones too grippy to slip in and out of the pocket easily and they catch lint like nobodies business.

Anyone found a good quality equivalent leather case for the 16PM?

I am in exactly the same situation - except I don’t have the delivery update notification. Thought I had got in early enough this year after the systems went down to get close to launch date!

I’ve had my 14 pro max for 2 years and not a single scratch on the screen! And I’m a heavy user.

And even though I don’t like them and have apple care, here I am thinking about getting one 😂

I do think this will be my phone for the next 3 years so I do want to look after it a little better than my 14PM.

Are the Spigen ones still any good?

Ok, so the standard ESR screen protector with the automatic foolproof installation tray did not work. Big bubbles. I tried the Magic John ones, that went on perfectly.
Strange because the ESR was my standard choice for years.

Just done the same about 2 hours ago. Was really trying to hold off upgrading this year as didn't really think it was worth it. I thought I might pop in to the Apple Store just to have browse as you do and left with the 16 pro. I am loving it, especially as I got a s10 watch as well coming from an ultra. Nice to downsize a bit.

On a side note a had quite a noticeable scratch on the screen on my 15 pro max and still got £570 for it which was a surprise!

My 15PM had a battery shown as manufactured in July 2023. It's only when the battery was made, not when the phone was assembled.
