why is this a surprise when it's literally what most people with 15s have been saying ever since the 16 line was announced?
Incremental updates these days. Even the Apple Store guy who served me today said there's no point upgrading every year.
I upgrade annually, and normally there's enough to keep you interested. SAdly not the case this year. The new camera button is getting more annoying as I use the phone. it's right in the way of your right thumb when making a call

Ok.... Natural Titanium with Stone Silicon Case 😀

I only upgraded as I'm on the Apple upgrade and it's essentially "free". If my 15 Pro Max was a device that owed me nothing, I wouldn't have upgraded

but you can adjust the sensitivity of it so nothing happens when you rest on it

I've gone from a 12 to a 16 Pro and even im not noticing any exciting differences. Had the camera on my 12 not broken I would probably have kept it a while longer. Going from a 15 to a 16 I would imagine some people being disappointed.

What a day. Jumped on the Train to Birmingham, was quite busy in store. Lined up for around 10mins and my new iPhone came out. Traded in my US version of iPhone 15 PM, Apple took it without question and issued £570 value back to my card.

ESIM Rant incoming......Thought I was sorted. Got home, and as I went to restore from iCloud, Apple tried to send me a OTP but my eSim wasn't active so I setup brand new. Scanned the EE Esim QR code thinking that would work, no signal....

After 30mins of trying to work out why my eSim wasn't activating, I then had to do an hour+ round trip to the EE store as I couldn't call them. Got to the store, they gave me a replacement physical Sim and we're back in business!.

I've never been so happy to have a Sim Card slot back!. I should have been all good from midday but here we are at 415pm and phone is finally setup.

Mines arrived and is set up, nice and easy! My first Max device and I love it! 🏻 Should have made the change years ago…

The frame on my iPhone 16 Pro Max is a little rough on the sides, anyone else’s like this? I’m not sure if I’m over-reacting but it seems really poor for an expensive device and looks awful when the light is reflecting on it. Hard to capture on photo really but here is what I mean

It was common knowledge that people with a 15 had no reason to upgrade

Wow, that doesn’t look good

I had this with EE which is why I went back to a SIM card, to avoid all that eSIM cr@p
Same here on EE esim transfer to new iPhone didn't work. eSIM profile didn't transfer over; the old iPhone remains active with the plan.
I literally tried everything, even using the EE app to scan a new eSIM QR code to the new phone, and kept coming up with an error after imputing a 6-digit code into the EE app: We cannot activate your eSIM plan. Please try again later or call us.
The last option is to request a SIM card. For £1.50 and do it this way one arrives disconnected the physical sim and move it to eSIM what a pain in the backside.

Quick favour to ask .. I’m wondering now whether to move to a 16 Pro (I’ve ordered 16 PM for delivery 7-13 Oct) as the only difference is the screen size and slightly longer battery life. It would be nice to move back down for a bit, I have the 15PM at present.
Could someone moving from 15PM to 16Pro take a pic of say the bbc website on both so I can see how much of a difference the size makes please?
I’m aware this is a bit of a random request and also that it might get lost in the midst of ‘it’s arrived’ posts which is fine 😁

thanks!
