One thing I love is that in Settings they have an option called 'Apps' which lists all the phones different apps in alphabetical order. No big deal you might say, but previously when wanting to do something with an apps settings such as turn on mobile data you had to search for the app amongst a long jumbled list, used to take me ages to find the app

Has anyone had any luck restoring over iCloud?

All my apps seem to be stuck on loading/waiting and not much seems to be happening?

This is a very minor issue but something that is surprising for Apple given their quality standards, but my USB-C cable out of the box is … a bit dirty? Do you think they’d chuck me a new one for free or would I have to send it for replacement?

My between the 25th to the 30th delivery is now coming on Monday, 23rd.

Oh God... all the banking apps and ones that aren't straight forward to log you in when you use a new device, dreading that.
Ordered mine 13.08pm on the 13th still showing as preparing to ship since last night, hope it arrives Monday as well.

First impressions - 16 pro is so much lighter than my 14 pro. It’s a joy to use. Love the desert gold colour and iPhone to iPhone transfer was relatively painless. Just waiting for it all to index!

I ordered AppleCare and notice that hasn’t been added to my account (similar to others on here). Will chase up with Apple support I guess.

That’s not dirt, those are the tears of an underage Chinese laborer back in the factory.

I've got the same issue with AppleCare. Got the email to link to my appleID and it wont work, and my iPhone isn't showing as having AppleCare.

I remember years ago someone told me that you should let a battery drain to 0 on a new phone before then doing a full charge. Is that still the case?

What a bit of nightmare with transferring old iPhone to new one with Apple Watch working. iPhone to iPhone transfer was fine but watch didn’t transfer over. It keep showing “finish pairing” button on iPhone app. It just won’t so had add it as new watch and then restore from backup after and finally got that working. Then backup iPhone again and transfer old watch to new watch and thankfully that works fine.

I lost all special challenges from Apple Watch unfortunately, I can’t see it anywhere but all rest is there though most importantly my streak is.

Same here on EE esim transfer to new iPhone didn't work. eSIM profile didn't transfer over; the old iPhone remains active with the plan.
I literally tried everything, even using the EE app to scan a new eSIM QR code to the new phone, and kept coming up with an error after imputing a 6-digit code into the EE app: We cannot activate your eSIM plan. Please try again later or call us.
The last option is to request a SIM card. For £1.50 and do it this way one arrives disconnected the physical sim and move it to eSIM what a pain in the backside.
Bad memories ... so much easier just swapping my physical SIM over this time.

I have a vodafone eSIM for work that I use. I have a QR code that I can use ad-infinitum, I just scanned it on the new phone (like I did last year on my 15 Pro Max) and it added the Vodafone eSIM and just worked.

I had the same issue, but I decided to reboot the watch and once it booted back up, and I entered the passcode, the watch finished pairing with my iPhone 16 Pro.

Anyone had any luck transferring an eSIM with o2 yet? Mine just refused to transfer iPhone 12 Pro to 16 pro.
Oh god didn’t even think of that. eSIMs are the stupid invention to ever grace mobile technology. Had so much trouble with it last time. What is the process to swap esims to a new phone?

When I went into O2 earlier the guy told me eSIM is a major problem at the moment. I was on eSIM with 15 Pro but he insisted I had to have a physical sim and said this would probably be fixed soon but at the moment, it's a no go.

I braved it at home and tried to convert to an eSIM and it said error occurred.

So my work SIM (physical) has had to go in a burner until it's sorted and I can go back to dual sim.

It took a while for my apps to download and I restored from a local backup on my MacBook. I did have an issue syncing some local movies and TV shows. I ended up having to add them manually and then enable the sync. However for me I’m going from my 15 Pro Max which was on 18.1 beta 4 to a 16 Pro Max on 18.1 beta 4, so it serves me right I guess.
