I got this one from Amazon. Put it on and instantly could notice it doesn’t fit that well. Slightly off unfortunately. Got a refund from Amazon in hope I can find a better fit.

I bought these ones, shattered during install so back they go.

Apple Support is indeed very rubbish! Just got off the phone with them and they are ordering me another iPhone 16 Pro Max to replace my faulty one and it’s estimated to arrive 15th - 22nd October. That’s really poor and I’m not happy with that at all.

Instead I’m going to keep checking every morning for new stock on the iPhone upgrade programme, and if they have one in, I’ll reserve it and return my faulty one there and then. If 2 weeks go by and I haven’t got another then I will probably just return the phone and switch to another brand. Can’t believe I’m saying that as I’ve had every iPhone since the 4s, but I’m really disappointed with Apple here. 😭

I probably won’t switch brands but I feel some anger towards Apple right now. I’ve just bought a MacBook Pro with M3 Pro chip so I’m locked into the ecosystem now lol. I really don’t want Android but I also just want less hassle. At this rate I might get a regular 16 instead of waiting for another Pro.

These things happen matey, of course you are pissed off at the moment, I would be as well. But just be patient and wait a few weeks and get the phone you actually want. It ain't the end of the world.

Got a Berlin screen protector fitted to mine today at the Glasgow store. I walked in and was served almost immediately.

I’ve had a cheap protector on for the past year or so on my previous phone and this one feels better, I can’t tell any difference to when the screen was bare. It’s £35 but it’s guaranteed and for the quality I’m happy.

To me it feels different to the iPhone 15 Pro but in a good way!

Yeah I did the same. Honestly can’t even tell it’s on. Quite expensive but apparently you get a 2 year warranty and a free replacement if it cracks.

On a side note, when I traded in the 15 pro max he used a device that scanned it and gave it a green tick, front back etc… never seen that before? Asked him if it was new and he said he’s only been there a few months.

After my iPhone had time to finish indexing and updating, here my best geek bench and speedometer score.

I was expecting higher on speedometer as the single core score is similar to my M3 max which gets 44 points.

Tbh even talk about new designs is strange to me. Edges may get a little rounder or more square, and camera lenses change a bit, but there hasn't been a design change since X and there wasn't much of one between the X and the very first iPhone. And then we all just stick them in cases anyway.

The same design now came out back in 2020 was the X similar to the 7 casing I never had one lol 😜

Won't work...Only way you can do it is going into store or ordering a new eSim..utter madness, apparently its for security

Nothing whatsoever. Still shows processing with a delivery date of 20/09/24

I called and spoke to them yesterday under the pretence that I just need to know to arrange for someone to be home.

They told me “we can’t look into it until it’s 3 working days past the delivery day”

Frustrating to say the least.

On top of this I was trying to cancel the Apple watch data plan as I’m not using it and they can’t do that either as the watch is associated the number being upgraded.

Sorry if it’s already been posted but which screen protectors are people using? I use to use the ESR Armor ones but for some reason I cannot find them.

IMHO can't beat the Belkin Ultraglass 2 screen protector. Not cheap at all, but using it on my iPhone 16 Pro the clarity is superb and its barely noticeable. Also installation was a doddle, the included installation tray is foolproof.

I’m using the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Tempered glass screen protector along with a Spigen Ultra Hybrid case. The screen protector comes with an applicator frame for precise fitment which worked perfectly. It comes as a twin pack so you get a spare one should you mess up fitting.

This; its been asked over and over and it's the Spigen one that gets mentioned time & time again

The Belkin Ultraglass one sounds superb; but it seems to be Apple store only currently

I've used the Spigen EZFit with Spigen cases, as well as Caseology, Nomad, UAG & Otterbox cases and zero issues
