I’m using the Spigen Glas.tR EZ Fit Tempered glass screen protector along with a Spigen Ultra Hybrid case. The screen protector comes with an applicator frame for precise fitment which worked perfectly. It comes as a twin pack so you get a spare one should you mess up fitting.
Also have this is exact screen protector and glass - both went on perfectly.
Have seen issues online so far with both the ESR (rainbow effect) and the Armorite (not quite the right dimensions)

Such a nice colour
Thank you, I have it in Apple’s clear MagSafe case. Never understand why people get the new colour then slap a non clear case over the top. I do like natural titanium , I have the Apple Watch Ultra 2, so it is a perfect match.

Won't work...Only way you can do it is going into store or ordering a new eSim..utter madness, apparently its for security

I had to do that today and I will have to do it for my daughter who is having my 15pro

I agree. Their tier 2 carrier GiffGaff can’t to it via the apple wizard but it can be done with their app. (Technically by an eSIM swap)

I never use to put screen protectors on my phones until a few years back. Personally I don’t want to take the risk.

I remember being in a hotel room sleeping and I’d left my iPhone on the table next to the lamp. My phone rang so I got up to answer it and in the dark knocked the lamp over which fell on my phone resulting in a hairline crack in the glass. Fortunately I had Apple Care so I called Apple the next day who offered to ship out a new phone and allowing me to send mine back after.

I don’t mind relying on Apple Care but it’s still a bit of a hassle and only covers two incidents. Since then I’ve been putting glass screen protectors on my phones knowing that I just replace the screen protector. They don’t really bother me.
The two incidents rule went years ago!

Ordered both the ESR and Torras and the esr look to be the better fit, Torras has black border the esr don’t

Why is everyone using screen protectors these days? Don’t think I’ve ever felt the need to use one on an iPhone, I just make sure not to put keys, coins etc in the same pocket as my phone
So do I put there are times when you make a mistake or the phone falls out your pocket. I am really careful but always end up with some micro scratches.

Micro scratches are insignificant though, you can only see them really if you’re searching for them. They’ve never affected resale value either.

For me because my OCD cannot cope with scratched screens; but also I have rough hands and use a lot of chalk when training, if I didn't phone would look battered in no time

I'm not into the 'look at me with big balls going case-less/screen-protector-less' on my £1300 iPhone... It makes a lot of sense for a few £££ to keep it protected

Each to their own

Not sure what was going wrong, but did anyone else have issues placing screen protectors on?

I had both my wife’s and mine to stick on and was having a right mare, there was quite a few bubbles I couldn't get rid of on each phone

No matter how / way I tried to squeeze the little brats out they wouldn’t go, now normally I’m really good at this job and thought they must be tiny speckles of dust as the bubbles normally squeeze out eventually.

This was about 8pm at night so decided to leave the bubbles till the morning

Lo and behold the bubbles had disappeared when we got up in the morning and now have perfect screens…

Very odd, and this has never happened before on previous Gens. 😃

I've only had that when the phones have been really cold... Left them boxed for a few hours in my office whilst I'm busy working and then would unpack/fit the screen protector as soon as it's been unboxed and all fine after that

Yeah that use case makes total sense.

I use a case, I’ve just found modern screens are really tough and durable, I used to use protectors all the time.

Quite possible, still very odd…

I went through about 4 protectors on mine thinking it was damn speckles of dust, would not go no matter how many times I lightly pulled a corner back to place in the dust sticker 😂

Once I’ve seen them I can’t unsee them. It’s like the first scratch on a new car, I guess.
I quite like the screen protector I have now, and it went on 4 seconds after the white sticker came off the display glass.
Hated them for years though, same with cases in general.

Honestly, there will be just that one day you forget!

Or one day something happens when you wish you had fitted a protector.

For a cost of a clear ESR protectors and fitted within minutes, it’s an absolute no brainer just to put your mind at ease.

Yup; my training isn't quite normal (although it's on the back burner currently through some unfortunate ill health)...

But no case/screen protector is ever going to protect my phone from the stupidity I get up to when unsupervised 😂

I don’t think I’ll make a mistake, it’s second nature how I treat my phone. I have noticed, though, that the people I know with cracked screens all have cracked protectors. My wife drops her phone with incredible regularity but her screen is absolutely fine.

Maybe the damage people see to protectors makes them think their screens would suffer the same fate, but it doesn’t seem to be the case.

The gap on the side would drive me crazy. I prefer the black edges as the light leakage on the glass with no black edges also annoys me.

What can I say I’m easily annoyed 🤣
The Torras with the black border was the same size as the esr so would of lost display to the border 🙄

Wanted to share this in case anyone else is thinking of using a smart kiosk for selling their old phone.

Took my iPhone 14 Pro Max to the Musicmagpie 'Smart Drop' Kiosk in ASDA. Went through the instructions, agreed to the offer it swallowed my phone and then all of a sudden a windows logo appears... the Kiosk crashed, restarted and then turned back on but without my phone and no payment!!!

I tried calling the number on the kiosk, but kept getting cut off after 10 minutes, 40 minutes later after pacing the ASDA foyet like a madman I finally manage to speak to someone via WhatsApp, they were extremely unhelpful and blunt. Told me to 'be patient', when I explained I had been trying to speak to someone for nearly an hour, and then 10 minutes later told me they would have to 'do a manual payment' and I will get my money in the next few days... but refused to refund the 'Kiosk fee of £30!' The whole point of using the Kiosk was the instant payment, otherwise I would have just posted it!! Unreal!

Awful customer service- avoid like the plague!!
