I luckily reserved an iPhone 16 Pro last night at Eldon Square and I’ve just picked it up whilst returning my 16 Pro Max that had a defect on the frame.

And unfortunately, this one too has a mark on the frame on the back this time, ughhhh. 😭

I’m not sure what to do now, do I go through even more hassle and replace it again or live with it?
You won't see it when it's in the case for the next 12 months.

Another morning with no pro maxes stock
Are just checking in the morning? My experience over the last few years has been to check a couple of times a day. Last year, I was after a 15PM. Couldn’t get one. The Tuesday after release I checked at 6, and 9 nothing. Checked again at 14:00 and found a few available, so nabbed one. Definitely worth doing it a few times a day.

There was a 1TB one that came up in Milton Keynes last night and quicker went. For those looking check multiple times an hour

Not sure what was going wrong, but did anyone else have issues placing screen protectors on?

I had both my wife’s and mine to stick on and was having a right mare, there was quite a few bubbles I couldn't get rid of on each phone

No matter how / way I tried to squeeze the little brats out they wouldn’t go, now normally I’m really good at this job and thought they must be tiny speckles of dust as the bubbles normally squeeze out eventually.

This was about 8pm at night so decided to leave the bubbles till the morning

Lo and behold the bubbles had disappeared when we got up in the morning and now have perfect screens…

Very odd, and this has never happened before on previous Gens. 😃
I had the Belkin Ultra Glass 2 fitted at the Apple Store last night with the applicator & it took two attempts.

I think its all UK Carriers, a few friends across other networks are in the same boat with the 16 PM.

And yeah totally, i agree with you everything online states it's one of the worst pre-orders in history, yet people who purchased from Apple direct are seeing significant delays.
I’ve just visited an O2 store (killing time while the mrs is shopping)
Guy in there was super helpful and said that anything ordered via O2 after 2pm is 3-4 weeks delivery.
Anything ordered on the 14th is now November, though that could change.

I bought the Spigen one and my first attempt was horrible! Full of bubbles.

Thankfully the second attempt went much better and I can't even tell its on the phone!

It may have been me, as I haven't used a screen protector for years but thought I would have one "for now" and see how I go.

You need to contact them by phone or in app chat using myo2 app and specifically ask for eSIM transfer and they will disconnect the old eSIM and issue a new one in the Myo2 app.

Then you download and sign into the myo2 app on new phone and install the eSIM.

Did this on Friday.
this worked, thanks! managed to skip a trip to the o2 store, called 202, said i wanted to transfer esim to a new phone, queued for about 10 mins, then they issued a new esim, waited about 10 mins until the old phone lost signal and then fresh opened the o2 app on the new phone and the sim was waiting to be activated. took less than a minute from there.
Can you update if they allow you to transfer to physical SIM card thanks. If i will as e sims seem a headache when you get a new handset.
not sure, sorry! i just did the process above instead.

So do I call o2 and ask for a sim swap or a new e sim sent to app ? Thanks
You can ring or chat via myo2 app. Ringing would probably easier and ask them to give you an eSIM replacement and mention you already have an eSIM on old phone to save confusion.

Why is everyone using screen protectors these days? Don’t think I’ve ever felt the need to use one on an iPhone, I just make sure not to put keys, coins etc in the same pocket as my phone
First thing I did after taking off the white screen protector is put on another screen protector lol. I’d rather have the phone looking as good as possible over the next few years of ownership and just replace the protector if I had to.

Also had a case ready and waiting to put on it.

I would just keep it mate.

My 16 pro max512g arrived at 14:40 with dpd I give o2 a quick call and they sent e sim to my o2 app. I logged on with new iPhone and activated it saved a trip to local store.

I ordered a white 16 Pro from Currys on Friday morning and it delivered yesterday. Coming from a 'temporary' 15 Plus, and a 13 Pro before that. Pleased to be back on the Pro line but am surprised by how much I'm missing the screen size given that the difference between 6.3 and 6.7 is theoretically so little!
