I have just realised that it's approximately 30 minutes after midnight in Australia.

That means that in a good 7-8 hours, we will start seeing the first wave of buyers flooding in :)

Which Aussie will be first with the unboxing I wonder :)

And to throw it straight on the floor!
[doublepost=1506005275][/doublepost]Can't wait for tomorrow .... Silver 256 8 Plus at Apple store for 9.30 AM. Then need to get everything restored and sorted, AND pack, as off to Orlando for a week on Saturday :)

Ahh nice, we were in Orlando in June. You doing the parks?

Yeah, I went back in 2004 so not first time. However this time is all-expenses-paid as it's with work for the Microsoft Ignite conference. We are flying out to get the weekends in too, and all attendees also get free reign of the Universal Studio parks from 7pm to midnight on Thursday, all free including food and drink :)

Was this a retention deal? Seems like a good deal, but the only downside is that it's an Essential plan so you can't use your 30GB for personal hotspot. Might give them a call tomorrow and see what they can offer.
Yeah it was, they offered it after I refused to take their 'deal', the guy put me through to someone to sort my PAC code and she was like 'what if I offered you this?' so I just took that (tethering isn't all important and I'm never aboard) Let me know how you got on :)

Wowzas. I’m not jealous.

Thats a good deal I am on the 32gb tariff and paying £62 a month and the o2 deal would cost £68 if you factored in paying for Spotify as well.

How did you get it so cheap as well?
Are you with Vodafone?

I just called Vodafone and asked for my PAC code and said I wanted to leave as my contract ends early next month.
Guy on the phone just asked what phone I was interested in and I said the note 8 but I don't want to pay more than £50.

He then just offered me 25% discount and that was it.

I was actually planning to go with EE but looking at all the other networks it seems the note 8 will cost almost £60 if you want a decent amount of data so I'm okay paying £49.50 tbh.

It amazes me the amount of people that just sign up to web offers or take the first contract that comes along without actually speaking to sales/retentions.

I personally saved nearly £500 over the term of the contract by haggling with the sales advisor and playing with the upfront payment etc.

If you don't ask, you don't get!

Yeah I signed up back in May for an S8 but regretted it soon after so may try and haggle with them once I say I am buying out my contract if I decide to stick with them.

....please don't tell me you have your 8 already?!!! :p
[doublepost=1505996760][/doublepost]I just received an email from Envirofone confirming (after I emailed them to clarify) that the lock in price is ONLY valid, 14 days from the date of me selling them my device!

I sold my device on 12th Sep, so 9 days ago. That means I MUST send in my iPhone 7 on Monday, to even be within the 14 day window (Special Delivery on Monday guarantees next day delivery, for Tuesday).

Thats cutting it TOO fine for me.....

I'm currently enquiring if I can extend.....
o_O

SUCCESS!!!!

Great news!

It has made me feel old nearly 9 years coming here on and off and your on 10 years, I wonder who is the longest running active member here?

This place is going to be crazy tomorrow with everyone posting about their phone arriving, wish the X was out as well!
