Worried about dead pixels more than anything else. It’s a pretty fair guess now that U.K. stock has been in Hinckley for a while, so it’s also a pretty fair guess that the stock was from an initial batch... QC only gets better with time. If it has any I’ll just return it & stick with my 7. Not gonna get into a display lottery.
Setting myself up for disappointment so I won’t be too disappointed if apple do disappoint me!

Stop worrying about dead pixels. It’s the whole faceId at the Apple event thing all over again. There’s been one device with dead pixels and we don’t know if that device was new , or a display model used at the actual event in September and Apple already corrected that defect. Giving that these are review models I highly suspect Apple may have shipped them the ones used at the Apple event and didn’t notice this device was damaged either in very early ( im talking alpha production ) or at the event itself. The scuffs on the device actually suggest it’s been around longer than 24 hours , no way even stainless steel gets them deep inbeds that quick

Still preparing for dispatch wow. Doesn’t it take at least 1 working day to deliver?

Not at all. Remember you can order stuff online well into the evening for next day delivery.

As long as the couriers have them by late this evening then they will easily get to you for tomorrow.

Also, just because an item isn't yet marked as dispatched online doesn't mean that it isn't actually moving.

Thank you for putting my mind at ease.
