I'm still down for Apple home delivery between the 13th - 20th for the 64GB silver model, my order still hasn't changed from 'order in process', is there anyway I can change this to collect in store otherwise I might just have to cancel and try to get one this Friday or Saturday from other retailers
No you can't change now, it must be done when placing the order. Your shipping estimate may change next week and the phone could ship earlier.
Same for me. I hope it arrives on Friday morning, not Monday evening because of some delays.
Anyone else having their authorization on their debit card dropped?
I’m picking up my iPhone X in-store, and I had £1149 authorized on my card up until a few hours ago. The order hasn’t changed in the Apple Store app.
At first my authorization was declined by my bank, RBS, and I received an email on Monday from Apple saying I needed to update my payment information. I called the bank and updated the payment information, the authorization went through.
The £1149 has never been on my bank statement as being a withdrawal, it has just been seen as pending funds.
Anyone else?

Not to put a damper on the excitement but does anyone else have a feeling they will be taking the X back for an 8 after a few days or so of use? Just feel like I’m going to be annoyed with Face ID, it’s not as reliable as Apple has made it out to be. I really hope not but Apple is annoying and disappointing me more and more lately, not enough to jump ship but they really have gone downhill since Tim took over.

I have been thinking this a lot too. I have a X for delivery Friday and selling my 7 plus just hope I don’t instantly regret and have to spend more money getting an 8 Plus. I might keep the 7 plus for a week or so just in case
The 8 Plus costs less than the X, you can just return the X within 14 days and buy an 8 Plus using the same money you spent on buying the X.
I might be wrong on this, I do really do hope so. I’m just not as confident in Apple as I used to be, and for £1149 I better be pretty happy with it.
Looking at your posts it appears you have a week or so before you get your handset - plenty of time to go to a store and have a look at the thing “in the flesh” before

ditto mine has moved to dispatch in 24 hrs checking dpd app but nothing as yet we might see movement on the app once its been scanned in looks like as you said everyones dpds texts have been for store pickups. I would definately if i'd ordered for store collection go and see if i could pick it up some smaller stores you might get away with it the bigger stores you probably won't. Looks like i'll be picking out a case from amazon today for delivery tomorrow or saturday.
My phone is going to be the most prepared for dispatched phone in the whole world!

This has happened in previous years with UK launch stock. The stock will be in the UK, and may have been for some time. The status will change as they start moving today. It kind of spoils the fun of being able to track them from the factory but we will see updates throughout the course of today.

Oh great. What time did you put your pre-order through? I’m expecting the same process/timeline but the suspense is a bit of a pain!I ordered with Three too and have only received this reply thus far:
"You will have a text message on the day of delivery with your hourly time slot and tracking number and this is when you will be able to track this parcel. We are not able to track this until it has been dispatched from us tomorrow night."
I did give my reference number in the initial email so it would be good if that was a reply to me specifically too so hopefully it's just a case of waiting for a dispatch email tomorrow to receive it on Friday
Three seem to have some better than normal stock levels given their current expected delivery dates if you sign up now. I’m hoping that points towards no issues for those that received Nov 3 dates originally.
