Starting to get really frustrated with not being able to reserve it now. Been putting up with my 6s with it’s broken screen and shocking battery life. Even contemplating giving up with the X and getting the 8. The delivery on the X is still 4 weeks if I do it that way feels like ive been waiting forever!

Swore black and blue after the last Argos delivery disaster I’d never buy from them again - such a sucker and saw minutes ago they are promising to deliver SG 256 tomorrow and ordered without a second thought. I’m an idiot I’m sure. Heading out on the highway to disappointment.
For anyone interested JL Oxford Street have the following (confirmed by phone it should be accurate as it was last nights stock check):
64GB SG = 5
64GB Si = 61
256GB Si = 5
Unfortunately i've been told they won't reserve or ship like they do with other items

I’ve been thinking of getting the 8 plus and saving £200 but the problem I have is this is the new gen device. I know in a years time I’ll regret having an old gen device and not waiting a few weeks.

What I have noticed is that it will let me back in at arbitrary times or intervals with hard browser refreshes so I’d imagine they’ve got a queuing/traffic management system in place to mitigate load. It’ll likely be the same reason why some people saw the online store come up a while before others on preorder day.
