Received my Apple Leather cases today. Same as always, they have a "packaging" smell? out of the box. What's the best way to get rid of the smell and bring that gorgeous leather smell through?

Don't worry Dave. It will smell of your trouser pocket soon enough! But after reading your post I did have a wiff of my new leather case. Doesn't really smell of much.

John Lewis are twittering "we have unconfirmed stock levels at the moment & dependant on availability, any stock that we receive is currently planned to be live on our website on the 20th Sept for click & collect in store on the 21st"

Well I’ve received my iPhone XS Max Cape Cod case. Looks stunning. Just need the iPhone to go with it now. Hopefully see some changes from Preparing for Ship tomorrow / Thursday. Then roll on Friday.

Why you would keep your old case anyway? New iPhone - > new case.
Putting new phone in old case is disgusting.

Agreed, Its a clear violation of the New Phones Act 2014 Section 4, Sub Section 9.24b

I used that approach to get my Apple Pencil months before they were available in the Apple store

Don’t yield anything. They only become active once the courier collects the device. This will be Thursday afternoon onwards (usually)

The new watch interface is just so much cleaner on the Series 4, the new watch face that I uploaded is so cool also. I have it set with just what I needed for testing, but can have so much detail. Can’t wait for my XS Max though. Roll on Friday.

Does anyone send off their phone to the likes of Envirofone before the new one arrives? Usually I time it better but dropped the ball this year so it has to go off tomorrow to get the best price.

However, that means from now till Friday with an HTC One... And what happens if my entire iPhone contents disappear from the cloud? <panic>

Just checked Apples website and all the phones are now 2nd wave. It looks like all the original stock has been allocated to the local stores for walk in’s. I was hoping that they would be set aside for 24th to 1st group.

Maybe some of them are....

Anybody in the 24th-1st group had any movement?

I think the smell is the dye they use.

Hmm I just smelled mine, smell like the dye and not so bad? I don't mind it.
