I would also like to know the courier. UK Mail delivered my 6s Plus, been out of the loop since then. What are your best guesses?

I am really hoping its UPS, since they have always delivered mine with no problems at reasonable hours, since I read many who got theirs from UKMail had some troubles or delivery issues and many other complains about their delivery process?

Also if i remember correctly, we'd usually get inform of whom will deliver our stuff a day or two and by whom... not a day before late evening...

Nope.... And seeing as I placed my order at 08:07 I reckon I just missed out on the 21st delivery slot.

Think I’ll try John Lews and see if any luck for at least a Saturday delivery

I'm hoping DPD. Never had any problems with them. The 1 hour delivery window is great.

mm saw the code and applied that - my dilemma (nice one to have) is send iPad and iPhone off at same time (same basket) and gain £111, or keep iPad until official release and sell iPhone with the tech10 code for £715. What to do for the best. I lose less money doing the second option, keep going backward and forward. Will put items back in my basket to send next Thursday... edging a bit further to hope there might be an ipad announcement/rumour. Getting excited for Friday and Xs Max missed having a + size.

It’s saying 28 days on their website for the 44mm Space Grey.

try ordering from John Lewis on next day delivery - you might still get one Friday unless they don't accept orders until 8.01 Friday am in which case it would be Saturday delivery.

Best of luck with that... You may have to fight through Klingon, Cardassian, Andorian, Ferengi (although they may just steal yours anyway), Romulan and the nasty one The Borg.
However, your best bet would be to find a Vulcan and let him do a mind probe on the sales staff

order on line for instore collection - very civilised. I will try tomorrow after 8pm (technically classed as Thursday), although last year they didn't accept any orders until the actual launch day. Still faster if you missed the original order day with Apple.

Does anyone send off their phone to the likes of Envirofone before the new one arrives? Usually I time it better but dropped the ball this year so it has to go off tomorrow to get the best price.

However, that means from now till Friday with an HTC One... And what happens if my entire iPhone contents disappear from the cloud? <panic>

I didn’t find his review that great this time. I felt like it was rushed. Missed out some Xs improvements, had water resistance info wrong and only had a few camera samples. Still, says the Xs is right behind Pixel 2 on camera now, and his shots did look great from the Xs.

Just checked Apples website and all the phones are now 2nd wave. It looks like all the original stock has been allocated to the local stores for walk in’s. I was hoping that they would be set aside for 24th to 1st group.

Maybe some of them are....

Received my Apple Leather cases today. Same as always, they have a "packaging" smell? out of the box. What's the best way to get rid of the smell and bring that gorgeous leather smell through?

Yeah just chill, everyone. Release day deliveries will happen. Both my watch and phone are still stuck in processing and the money hasn’t gone from my account yet. For in store pickups, we will see movement today or tomorrow

It's my first mobile contract for my name in the UK. I only have broadband with BT with £5 add-on mobile plan for my mom, but I doesn't count it as a normal contract.

So... it was my first credit check for a contract. I was scared that I will be rejected cos I'm a student (no loans, no credit cards, no job).

Anyway it went well.

I got Vodafone plan with I believe 20+GB data, £66/monthly for 24 months, sadly £199 upfront.

That’s quite a good deal. Unfortunately Vodafone isn’t an option for me due to signal in certain areas of the country.
I ended up with O2 upgrade, XS Max, Space Grey, 256gb, 100gb Data (a ridiculous amount of data) £65pm for 24 months and £369.99 upfront.
High upfront cost was due to “supply and demand” (?!)

Not sure about the student discount but I walked into O2 for the iPhone 6 on launch day and got the spec I wanted. Might be worth a try?

Pretty good I imagine.

Reports suggest that pre-orders for the Xs are “lacklustre” so I’d be surprised if there is any shortage.

Hopefully the same thing will start showing for iPhones for those who want to go in on launch day to grab a phone!

I really like the look of this, but I’m concerned it isn’t wide enough and there’s a potential to scratches the areas around it that aren’t protected (as thin as they are)?

Yes this I what I thought to. Actually ordered it and then cancelled.

I think I’m going to order a full coverage one once there is more choice available. Really like the fitting guide thingy.

Haven’t had any protector on my 7 for 2 years and don’t have a single scratch - so still in two minds as of what to do!
