How many of you are planning on slapping a screen protector on your new iPhones?
I have 4 arrived. 2 "high quality" £6 each domed etc. And 2 99p rubbish things. Always be safe with a screen protector, but always need a backup incase it doesn't install well. The one I put on my X has lasted the year perfectly. Still have my spare

I got the Belkin one that Apple fitted in store. Expensive at £24 but fitted perfectly. I fit one in every 50 or so perfectly!

What? You were in contract yet they gave you a deal to stay? I smell something
Yes, absolutely. I was on their upgrade plan with an S8 but they said I can keep that too.

I also had incredible discount before the upgrade, giving me the 40GB (plus an extra 10GB for having their BB years ago) Max plan for £30.06PM:

Happy to post my bill/receipt showing the cost of the upgrade (once received).

I always do the same, last time the Apple employee got dust under the protector and she happily fitted another one at no cost until I was happy it was clean. It's been on for two years so it has to be right!

If you want EE Max roaming, there is the “Roam Further” add on which will add the US and the other countries, but at £10pm for a minimum of 6 Months... you would have to decide if it was worth it for you.

We were in the US for 3 weeks and I just bought a Three add-on that covered the time in the US for my wife... was cheaper.... but if your are in the US a lot, it might be worth it

You can also get the Go Faster add on (I think it costs £2 a month) for access to the fastest available LTE speeds. It’s a noticeable increase if you live in a city. Annoying though that EE no longer offer it as standard on their sim only plans.

I’ve ordered Belkin but given cost am thinking I’ll take into store over weekend to have properly fitted. For Friday though I’d like to have something to put on at least temporarily....... what is consensus on best thing to get from Amazon???

Sorry, but none of that bill break down makes many sense to me. All I know is I had to go to the exec team to get my early upgrade fee of £100 waived, unsure how/why they are begging you to stay.

Im really starting to hate EE :p

Next August they give me a deal that some people in here are posting or i will go somewhere else (i wont)
I actually LOVE EE haha.

I've been with them since the Orange/OnetoOne days - their PAC codes still start ONE which I find funny.

They did make me pay £54 early upgrade fee and £6 delivery, as they couldn't quite reduce the full £554 early upgrade fee to zero:

I ordered the xs Max yesterday and set for delivery on the 21st - they've been fab!

I was going to just buy outright this year, but this was good good of a deal and means I get the 100GB Max plan with USA roam etc. for around £17pm. My partner will take the XS Max this time next year so it is a win win as I like to upgrade annually.

I’ve haggled with EE and before them TMobile on behalf of my mum for years and with a little pushing they do provide some decent deals! There’s been a few occasions after cancelling my contract I get a call the next day from a ‘‘manager” about how they are sorry and offer a deal between 20-50% off what they originally offered. ;)

If you're doing that then yes, just get a cheap one off Amazon. I hope Apple are fitting the screen protectors from Friday. With the X they stopped applying them for a while. I had to go back a couple of times before they applied one for me.
[doublepost=1537388221][/doublepost]I also like the idea of fitting a screen protector straight out of the box. There's a youtube guy, "Geekanoids" that always fits a screen protector as soon as he peels off the Apple wrapper.

Wasn't that due to a production issue with the Belkins cracking really easily on the initial X protector design? They made them thicker then started reselling them I think.

The plan I am on is the 40GB Max plan boosted to 50GB at £68.99. Parts shows VAT and parts don't - I agree, it is very odd.
However, my monthly charge is around £30 due to all the discounts listed below (Loyalty is £20 inc vat and 25% off is £17.24 inc vat). Thus, I get £37 off the £68.99 plan.

However, I have lost them now and only had a 20% perk discount applied from work.

How many years you been with EE?
I been with them for over 10 years no deals moved over to o2 today loyalty means nothing these days.

16 if you include Orange.

When EE launched they gave me an early upgrade offer to move over to EE.

My 7 Plus contract was up for renewal in August and the best they could do, even when i quoted the Three price/deal was £20 a month for 40GB of data which in fairness i thought was a solid deal.

But after seeing how much some others are paying on here for the same deal, it feels like ive been had over! o_O

Its only £20 a month so im not overly fussed, but next year i will have to be a little more aggressive :D

I use these: ESR iPhone Xs Max Screen Protector, [3D+ Maximum Protection Full Coverage],Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector for iPhone 6.5 inch Xs Max (2018) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07G42KLZZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_69QOBbKV48WAR

I like that you cannot see that it's on there at all and if protects 100% of your screen. Anker do a great one with a good applicator, but it doesn't cover the notch properly. I fit 10-15 a year, for family and friends, I have a success rate of 90% for "perfection" it's easy when you get the hang of it.
