EE is stupid phoned them up this afternoon looking to switch over from 3UK sim only to EE sim only.

I ask do you have any 100gb sim only packages can I join for 12 months he says only on contract 24 months handset contracts. WTF.
I asked another question hello, Do you have sim only contracts with max plan speed he says only on 24 months handset contracts. again WTF
What business are EE running at the moment never in my life I heard this much crap. (Pushing customers to sign upto 24 months expensive contracts)

Go to Mobile on settings the info there my shows 745gb last reset December 10th 2017.

EE no longer offers the max plan on sim only deals since earlier this year, max plans are only available with 24 months hanset contracts. This has made me change my plans to get the handset from Sky or buy directly from the US since a cheap sim only EE plan will no longer give me the free roaming when I am in America.

Terrible to be honest I ask them today please allow me to purchase a 100gb sim only plan he said handset only too.
Really don't know who stupid idea is this me believe they are trying to force customer signing upto expensive 24 month plans or saving the bandwidth for the headset customers.

Yes, I got offered:

iPhone XS Max 256GB 100GB MAX No upfront £70pm

or iPhone XS Max 512GB 100GB MAX no upfront £78pm

They also let me upgrade early and pretty much waved the £500 early upgrade fee.

I went with the £70pm option.

What? You were in contract yet they gave you a deal to stay? I smell something

If you want EE Max roaming, there is the “Roam Further” add on which will add the US and the other countries, but at £10pm for a minimum of 6 Months... you would have to decide if it was worth it for you.

We were in the US for 3 weeks and I just bought a Three add-on that covered the time in the US for my wife... was cheaper.... but if your are in the US a lot, it might be worth it

Just confirming that if wanting to return & rejoin the same phone on iUP, the phone needs to be unopened and unactivated?

Also do you think they will turn me away from doing that on Fri eve/Sat because the reservations don't open up again until the following Monday?

No, last year (X) and year before (7) I ordered at full price. Went in store with them in my pocket and in-use, took the box in, they did the up and then refunded me. They were activated and not sealed - wasn't a problem at all and they won't turn you away.
