Wasn't that due to a production issue with the Belkins cracking really easily on the initial X protector design? They made them thicker then started reselling them I think.
Yeah, you're right. Got mine fitted about 4 months ago and is perfect.

Can anybody remember when we are likely to see movement on the O2 orders page? Will it be tomorrow night do you think?

Yes, they do this every single year for the last four years but this year I’m ending my contract with them because their new contracts are Eugh.

Yes, I got offered:

iPhone XS Max 256GB 100GB MAX No upfront £70pm

or iPhone XS Max 512GB 100GB MAX no upfront £78pm

They also let me upgrade early and pretty much waved the £500 early upgrade fee.

I went with the £70pm option.
Was this offered over the phone? Or online.

16 if you include Orange.

When EE launched they gave me an early upgrade offer to move over to EE.

My 7 Plus contract was up for renewal in August and the best they could do, even when i quoted the Three price/deal was £20 a month for 40GB of data which in fairness i thought was a solid deal.

But after seeing how much some others are paying on here for the same deal, it feels like ive been had over! o_O

Its only £20 a month so im not overly fussed, but next year i will have to be a little more aggressive :D

I'm pushing about the same amount of time with (Orange). I upgraded when EE formed because I wanted 4G.

Fact is, they can wave early upgrade fees and upfront costs. The agent was really down to earth and told me as long as they cover the cost of the handset, the rest is negotiable. I.E. £17pm for a 100GB Max plan is fantastic but that's with my Perk as they no longer add adhoc discounts.

Back in the day, they used to just change my contract end year and then give me a great deal.

Over the phone, their upgrade and retention team.

Edit, I'm actually going to call them back at the weekend and get them to match it for a family member who is in contract until March 19. I'll get them to look at my account to confirm/compare the deal.

I seem to remember it all happens very late with o2. Almost as if 'My o2' doesn't keep up with progress. o2 seem vague yet optimistic that pre-orders are delivered on Friday. Although the lack of absolute clarity is frustrating

I’ve gotten a launch day device every single year for the last four years, don’t sweat bud.

I did when I ordered mine from very.
Nice!

I've done the whole credit order 2 years back and got like 40% off my HTC phone lmao due to a cock up.

I wish I could do the same with the XS, I'd order one right now.

Closed my account so I could be potentially eligible for a discount, but I think I'll hold on for now. If only it was 20% off...

I'm a runner, too, and currently carry my 8 Plus in my Flipbelt. I've never been able to get the Flipbelt to stay put, so I end up having to secure it down with 4x safety pins to my shorts!

The 8 Plus is noticeable when I have it on me; not enough to slow me down significantly, but I definitely do not feel as nimble as I normally do without it.

Oh no! My flip belt stays put normally. You're the second runner to tell me that their 8 plus has weighed on them when running. Seriously reconsidering my decision now! Did you pre order?

Don't worry about it. The Max is 180g if you're 7 stone that's 0.004 of your body weight. It's just psychological. And if you are 7 stone, the sheer size of the device is probably a bigger issue for you

Yup. I've got a Max waiting for me on Friday. It's a compromise but I really enjoy the larger screens and would only regret going for the XS.

I've had a Plus sized phone for the past 2 years, so have largely gotten used to it. I run-commute from my work place a couple of times a week, so I try and make those runs not pace critical when carrying the phone.

EE no longer offers the max plan on sim only deals since earlier this year, max plans are only available with 24 months hanset contracts. This has made me change my plans to get the handset from Sky or buy directly from the US since a cheap sim only EE plan will no longer give me the free roaming when I am in America.

If you are on a max plan sim only there are now two new max plans you can upgrade to if you are out of contract, but you have to phone or go to a shop and ask, they don't seem to advertise them well. 20GB/£25, 40GB/£30.

I really want to make the move over to EE but with Three doing Go Binge with Netflix and Apple Music it means my daughter can use her iPad to watch Netflix with my hotspot while we go to the caravan. It also means I don’t have to worry and just stream Apple Music whenever I want.

When I look at my total use this often takes me over the 100GB. And then there is the extra cost......

Thinking I’ll go without this year. Have that IUP Apple care for a reason!

But sods law and all that....

I didnt have a protector on my 8 plus on the iup now I'm going for the xs Max I might.

I got the Belkin one that Apple fitted in store. Expensive at £24 but fitted perfectly. I fit one in every 50 or so perfectly!
£24 doesn't seem that bad. Basically £1 a month.

I always do the same, last time the Apple employee got dust under the protector and she happily fitted another one at no cost until I was happy it was clean. It's been on for two years so it has to be right!
That's good service.

I ordered through o2 upgrade click and collect just checked my order and it’s been dispatched via uk mail

I ordered my 256 Gb XS Max from O2 at 0930 this morning. It's just updated to shipping to store for click and collect with a UK Mail tracking number.

Yikes does that include that America roaming? You can get one of those deals now with 20% off and just get the max speed addon for 2 quid extra a month.

Do you have any links to this information? I just realised my 25gb max plan sim only is up in 2 weeks, and I only just realised they no longer do sim only max plans. If I could upgrade to one as an existing customer that would be good

Yes, it's a max plan, so full speed and the additional countries. Already discounted so you cna't add another.

I just phoned, selected the wanting to leave option, asked about the two max plan options, they read them out to me.
