I’m very puzzled about the journey of my iPhone,

It’s started off in Hinckley and has moved further away to Ryton which according to the maps app is by Newcastle but I’m in London. It’s be taking the p!ss if I don’t get it tomorrow now.

My Deliveries app shows Ryton up north as well but my understanding is it's Ryton-on-Dunsmore which is Rugby area. It's only up the road from me and has a massive UK Mail depo. So I wouldn't worry

O2 or my bank screwed my order up, rip. Upfront fee got stuck in limbo for 6 days (I preordered at 8:22am Friday) but it's been cancelled. Had to make a new order this morning. Gutted. Cheeky buggers thought they could try screw me with 20% discount (what I had applied to my contract in the first place) So managed to haggle £40 of them.

Don't think I'll be getting my iPhone (XS max) till next week or something. I remember three overestimating to cover their backs, had it by 27th September.

Anyone else here preordered during this week on o2?

To the rest of you, enjoy your new toy/s tomorrow :)

That’s a relief.
I had the exact same panic earlier today too. :D

Although I'm hoping they have shipped them out to the local depots already and just don't bother to scan them out of Ryton, as it's getting late and no signs of activity on the tracker. If they're still sat in the Ryton warehouse then it's quickly getting to the point where there's not going to be enough time to get them sent out to the local depots and then onto the delivery trucks. >.<

A bit late to this party. I’ve (after problems on the phone and online with EE) have order a S Max 512 from my local EE store.
Unfortunately not allowed to have it until Saturday due to having to wait a full year to upgrade on my annual upgrade plan. EE online and phone won’t even let you pre order until that date. But the store was able to.

You lucky Friday people enjoy.

Never mind. It just got scanned into my local depot about 5 minutes ago. :D

Now I had better get some sleep so I can be up bright and early to wait for it to be delivered. :D

The general consensus on here appears to be that deliveries start leaving the depot around 8-8:30am.

My last phone from UK Mail got to me around 10am, and I recall I was about 17th in the queue that day so they do start quite early. :)

I hope everyone who has made a pre-order gets their phone today or as soon as possible. I am dreading the delivery person coming today because EE have sent me two iphones by mistake and I have to reject the iPhone XS I originally ordered but they never cancelled properly and keep the iPhone XS Max. Thankfully they gave me the parcel number of the XS Max I just don't want to end up with the wrong phone.

Has anyone used Switched On Insurance before? They are quoting £12.75 per month for ultimate cover of an iPhone XS Max 256gb.

That seems a lot just for one device. thought EE was only £8 a month.

Has the order status changed on the website? Mine is 24-1 it still says processing sadly!!
Sorry for the delay in replying. Early start as heading to the store to see art getting a watch.

Still shows In Progress and still for delivery today... Will wait and see.
(Hoping that DPF &/or UK Mail stick to their normal schedule of calling at my house after 11 am

Anybody with UKMail delivery had their phone leave the Ryton warehouse yet? Mine has been there for the last 8+ hours and still hasn't had any update since being scanned in.

I'm not worried that it won't get here in time tomorrow as they could leave in the early hours of the morning and still easily get here in time, but just curious to know what time it generally tends to start making its way here (assuming it does have a 'check out' scan at the warehouse, that is).
My delivery is still there and its 04:31 on delivery day.....

I read something this morning abt UPS delaying some US deliveries until Monday..... :-(

If you read the news article you will see that the delay was an error. Don’t worry. If it said your phone is arriving today it will. My iPhone hasn’t updated since midday yesterday and I have UK Mail delivering mine. They are always slow at updating their tracking.

They are always slow at updating their tracking.

My Xs Max was dispatched yesterday and had been shown as received at Ryton. Not until 05:23am today has finally updated to show as 'received at the delivery depot' (which I know is in Cambuslang to the south east of Glasgow). Looking good for delivery later today ....

UK Mail's tracking certainly doesn't give the level of detail that other couriers do!

On a side note, posted my iPhone 7 for recycling on Tuesday via a pre-paid UPS as provided by the buyer, only to get a call from them yesterday to say that the box arrived empty having obviously been tampered with en-route! I now have to wait 8 days for UPS to conduct an investigation!

Mine’s out for delivery now, although the UKMail site doesn’t seem to have live updates like DPD do. Oh well, sit and wait.

Don’t see how they can apply any locks on a sim free phone. Nothing in t&c. What’s the difference?
It used to happen a couple of years ago. All over the internet it’s a big massive no it doesn’t happen now when you search it.
