Yes, would love Apple to drop the 64gb and start with 128gb. Though looking at my current X usage I’m on 49gb!

Wouldn’t want to move down to a 64, as I know photos/videos are just going up.

Just can’t see Apple dropping the 64gb though :(

I cant either, but id like to think with it being the flagship model that they would offer, 128GB,256GB and the 512GB.

Everyone's happy then :D

I love this time of year but this is going to be an expensive September/October for me if Apple go all out with a hardware refresh across the board as I replace most of my Apple gear every year.
So I will trade in my 256gb iPhone X; 256gb 10.5” IPad Pro and ceramic series 3 watch and replace all three with a 256gb iPhone X plus, 11” ipad Pro and the series 4 watch...in ceramic if they do it plus the air power. If Apple release new AirPods in a wireless case, I will get those too as the battery life in my current AirPods is half of what it used to be after 16 months of daily use
My aging 2011 MacBook Pro which has been amazing is on its last legs as the 256gb SDD is stuffed to the gills so if a new Air is released with a 500gb SSD option, that might be on the shopping list too .

True just like it’d unlike they jump, from 64GB to 512GB.

3 storage options make the most sense

I believe with the three different models of iPhones being offered this year, Apple might just stick with two storage options;

128gb and 512gb for the x and x plus.
64gb and 256gb for the 9

Is storage such an issue now that we have the cloud? That’s not a challenging question but more of a query really. I keep everything local on my phone and ipad as well as the cloud but the downside is when backing up to iTunes, it eats up disk space on my MacBook. I back up to the cloud as well but iCloud backups aren’t as thorough

Nice call. I was always an outright buyer until last year. As a serial yearly upgrader, the IUP made sense given the fear I would have had in dropping the all glass phone!

I’m sure the previous years IUP folk also got some early options to upgrade iirc.

Either way not long to go! Not done a launch day store pick up since the iPad 2

"Serial Yearly Updater." LOL, love that. ;)

It is if you film a lot of 4K video and download a lot of films

Wouldn’t surprise me to be honest

Spoke to EE and it has to be 12 months from your last device

So have to hope the new iPhone will be out in November. It’s only a month and a half but still...

Would be ideal but Apple’s history and track record would make that a pleasant surprise.

How much is the ‘free’ iCloud tier nowadays?

That’s some shopping list! AirPower and hopefully some updated air pods would be good.

I hope it’s not just a stand-alone case as I don’t really want to fork out for AirPods and an additional case

Yeah 4K at 60fps is around 400MB a min. If I did that I’d want a minimum of 256GB but would prefer 512GB. 4K is over kill for me. I just shoot 1080p so 64GB of storage works for me.

I'm on the iUP, but only got my X in November so will still have a couple of months to wait. Hopefully all the 'gates' can be ironed out by then ;)

Thinking of going for the 'XS Plus', price dependent.

Lol yeah it is a lot but I should get a couple of grand back in my current stuff.
Totally with you on the AirPods. It would be nice if they bought out nect gen AirPods with the wireless case

I’m sure I’ll have to wait to as I’m on the yearly upgrade program with O2.

Going for the X plus and will be getting 512GB if it’s available.

I am not on an upgrade programme, but I always wait until the end of the first day to order, that way it is usually about six weeks waiting time. Then I can see what the problems are (if any).

We should know for sure by the end of this week.

I’m on the 2tb plan.

Looking forward for the Xs 64Gb. Just sold my iPhone 8 last week. The Xs plus just seems too big for my needs but I'll definitely be keeping an eye on it.

Glad to see this thread has been created.

Newcomer to the thread. Using a 6S currently and looking forward to the new X. Maybe the X Plus but I'll wait on that until I can hold it in person.

if they make the new airpods water resistant and maybe add more guestures/hands free Siri then I’ll get the new ones.

I will be going for the plus model in the biggest storage option. I store a lot of music, audiobooks and comics locally on my device so need it.

Never had a plus sized phone before but looking forward to the bigger screen and battery.
