I’m a traitor this year I went for the note 9 which I receive on Friday. But I will keep my 8 plus
I got a note 8 last year on launch day and planned on keeping my 7 plus. Still ended up with iPhone X. The note 9 does look good though.

I will be going for the plus model in the biggest storage option. I store a lot of music, audiobooks and comics locally on my device so need it.

Never had a plus sized phone before but looking forward to the bigger screen and battery.

I’ve never got completely use to the plus size. Tried it twice with the 6+ and then 6s+ but both times I returned the device in the first 2 weeks and got the standard size. I did stick with the 7+ for the year and did enjoy the batter life, but was never comfortable with the size in pockets etc or being able to use it one handed. I think I’ll be sticking to the X this time.

As mentioned on here earlier too, the weight of the X is greater than the 8 so in a plus size that’s also worth considering!
[doublepost=1534775047][/doublepost]quick poll added to see where people's heads are so far this year! interesting to see if things change post keynote :D

I can totally relate to that with my first 'Plus' sized iPhone 8 Plus - its fine, size wise, util it goes into my front pockets and I try to sit down - I have to swivel the phone, all the time, to get ot to move in the pocket so its not digging into my leg!!!

I think I'm even more tormented this time around as all new phones seem the same size or bigger. I'd be well up for just upgrading to the slightly smaller iPhone X, if Apple do not discontinue it this September (I don't watch video on my phone so screen size is not that bigger deal. Pocketability is a higher priority for me!)....

I guess I can only truly decide, after the keynote and when I then go into my local branch (Bromley) and actually handle the new devices and physically compare them to my 8 Plus...... No way will I be going down any XS road!

good call if you can avoid being suckered in on pre-order and launch day! I remember how you were last year!

the rumours of a larger screen watch series 4 have now grabbed my attention.. trying not to get pulled in!

Already asked this question a while back, but will ask again lol.

Anyone bought an iPhone or similar value using Apple Pay with a Halifax Debit/Credit card?

I have both my Halifax cards (Visa and MasterCard) setup on my Apple Pay and would prefer to use the credit card as I don't think my VISA will allow a high transaction without having to phone the bank...........

I could add my Credit card a few days before pre orders to save any hassle at checkout but Apple only allow you to have 1 payment option on file which is annoying.

Definitely going for the plus sized model in 256gb (unless they increase base storage to 128, 64 isn't enough for me).

Question: How do we think they'll be with iUP settlement? Those of us who bought the original X on launch will obviously still be a month or so off our upgrade dates.

You just pay the remaining balance up to the 11th payment so should just be the one more

See the faqs at the bottom: https://www.apple.com/uk/shop/iphone/iphone-upgrade-program

Can I upgrade even if I haven’t made my 11 monthly payments yet?
Yes, you can by making an early upgrade payment equivalent to the loan balance up to 11 monthly payments, when you upgrade at an Apple Store.

Yup I usually do that, changing the day before or so to speed things up at checkout.

I was unsure about capacity last time but figured I wouldn't use anywhere close to 256GB so decided to get 64GB. A year on, and I've used about half of it. So no need for big storage for me. I use a lot of streaming / cloud services.

I went for the 256GB last year thinking that 64 would get filled up.At the moment I still have used only about 42GB, so this year I will be getting the 64. however, if they do a 128 I might get that [just to be sure].

49 of 256gb used on mine including 130/200gb of iCloud used (family sharing plus all my devices backed up)

Would love a 128gb starting point this year

I am very much looking forward to the iPhone Xs+ 6.5" "Gray" with probably the 512gb storage if they offered it and will buy it out right, the X I currently have feels too small and before that I had the 6+/s & 7+, so with the Xs+ will be nice to go back to the bigger size iPhone.

Yes, would love Apple to drop the 64gb and start with 128gb. Though looking at my current X usage I’m on 49gb!

Wouldn’t want to move down to a 64, as I know photos/videos are just going up.

Just can’t see Apple dropping the 64gb though :(
Knowing Apple’s hardline upselling strategy it’ll be 64 for £999 128 for £1,149 and 512 for £1,299 now they’ve got us used to 256 ;)

Likely going for the Space Grey "XS".

Other devices are too big, not interested.
X seems like the sweet spot.

Thinking of just buying it completely outright, was on iPhone Payments programme which was fine. Not really interested in upgrading every year so upgrade programme isn't for me, but to be honest there has been a few occasions where I've nearly took the plunge and bought an iPhone X but I've held out with my 7.

Hoping Apple reintroduce the 128GB and start it at base model which would be even better, otherwise I guess its 256GB overkill.
64GB is a tight squeeze, started saving music from Spotify from my phone and I'm using about 73GB.

I could save some by obviously deleting some music and also using optimse storage function, but I dislike how it works and would rather keep all my photos local and have iCloud serve solely as a backup function - Even though its failed me Summer, but lets not get into that today ffjhaufhuah.

I've been living with a iPhone X for the last 10 months and I'm not sure if I'll go back to the larger iPhone. I could be tempted to go big if there was some enhanced improvements to the camera that were exclusive to the bigger model or if the Face ID sensor could work horizontally as well as vertically.

Talking of the Face ID sensor... everything was good until the sun got super strong, so I'm hoping they have made improvements to Face ID hardware.

It's going to be a tough call this year as to what I invest in with all the rumored hardware... That said, I'm sure one of the recycle firms can help me out with money toward the new devices.
