Or not...
I remember when I went to get my iPhone 6S plus on launch day from the Kingston store. I had a reservation and time slot and I still had to wait about 45 minutes in the queue

That sucks. You sure it didn’t go to your work / another alternate delivery address you’ve used before by mistake?

The signal on the XS max for me is terrible!! So many times people are saying they cant hear me and I have to move position to get a better connection. Obviously watching the other thread about signal issues but wish we had one for UK users suffering the same.

i don't think I will last a full year with the Max. At some point, I will switch it out to the standard XS.
First day back in office with it, and damn its heavy (expecially with case on), awkward in trousers pocket....

and my use case hasnt changed - still prefer to read articles on my 10.5 pro

Why don't you return it now then? You have 14 days to return.

After nearly 14 days with the XS Max 64GB Space Grey I have decided to keep it instead of going up to 256GB.

I’ve experienced absolutely no issues with mine so far including the reported reception problems. For me personally, the size is manageable.

My iCloud usage has increased to 2TB in 2018 plus I use DropBox which is plenty enough cloud strorage without saving directly on the Max.

As others have said, 128GB is the sweet memory spot for most but Apple know that + buyers would rather pay the £150 extra for 256GB over the 64GB.

Apart from a series or movie for the commute to work, my media are all played/streamed on my iPad Pro and having photos & videos on the cloud mean they also sync to my iPad and iMac. Hopefully a new 12.9 Pro will get launched soon which is what I want!

Going to try to hold off until December or January before upgrading to the Series 4 watch, does look cool.

Early indications from few hours of Xs delivery are quite amazing.
All setup, inlcuding Apple Watch activity this morning.
Had a shot of Apple Pay -not bad a wee bit getting used to it, only double tap required.
Deleted 8 from car audio bluetooth added XS -seems to be working as expected.
My most positive use is Wifi in bathroom -Skyq t.v. Worked with No signal drops at all -inlcuding placing Xs against bathroom wall -a previous weak wifi spot notorious for signal drops.
Call quality, 1 outbound call -thankfully person could hear and talk clearly -only one call though -time will tell
Enjoy oled screen -though very different from 8 -both have quality screens t.b.h.
As I'm using Anker wireless charger, I haven't had chance to try old school charger to see if I have the charging prob.
No Apple beta yet-still on 12.0 not 12.1
Xs -class device, very smart looking and quality feel.
By iPhone 8 you only lasted a matter of months use-posted. For re cycle mint condition.
Only possible future devices are quite some time away
IPad upgrade from 10.5 -maybe drop the home button.
Apple Watch upgrade -not sure which features I need for my gym session-s1 is solid for my use.

I'm going to try my luck on the IUP today, been meaning to get on to it for a couple of years so have an appointment but am dreading the credit check. My score looks good, but have heard a lot of people have been declined regardless. Fingers crossed....
