What colour are you going to get?

I'm thinking black...

I love the yellow I really do, but I worry about it long term and whether or not I will tire of it.
The black was not on my radar at all until I had a hands on at the Apple store last week.

Now I'm second guessing! :D

Did you go with the black in the end?

I didn’t!
I was really tempted but I do just love the yellow. I am glad I stuck with it but I would happily have a black one for the all stealth option!
Yellow is a little more unique I guess... until loads of people end up buying them and they’re everywhere! :p

Great choice. I'd set up a yellow XR for my mother-in-law the other day and I think it's stunning - in my opinion, it's unmistakably the "hero" colour for the XR.

I'm quite jealous that the XS and XS Max didn't get the XR colour treatments.

...well another year and another opportunity for many in this thread to upgrade their shiny iPhone to this September's new model!!

I may actually sit this one out as I don't think my current iPhone XS can be improved on especially if them so called rumour photos I've seen are true (the ones with that massive square camera on the back housing 4 separate lenses) - it looks hideous!!!!!

:p:p

I’ve given up saying I’m not going to get the new iPhone. I say it every year and somehow end up upgrading :D

Won't be upgrading for at least 3 years. Luckily for my wallet, I get a certain kind of satisfaction from long lasting tech. I'm sure my 6s Plus could have lasted another year or two speed wise.

I agree. A thousand pound a year is a bit much.

That’s the problem really. When a mobile costs as much as a decent laptop it’s time to pause and think.

I believe that Apple are taking the mickey with their pricing policy, especially the £/$ match.

That is not as bad as it looks. When Apple sell their phones in the US, the prices are always quoted with out sales tax which variess from state to state. In the UK, the prices are always quoted with VAT. Okay, we do pay a bit more than the yanks, but I think there is also import duty and other stuff. Still bloody expensive though.

I understand all that but, as you accept, still very expensive.

You get the maxed out version then? Agreed price is far too high certainly no device should ever be that much.

Still enjoying my max though and it’s something I use 18 hours a day so price wise yeah it’s a lot but I get more use out of it than other things you could buy for that amount.

Hoping IOS 13 will make it even better

I had to go to the XR from the XS max because the XS max screen was giving me eye strain and headaches from the PWM on the OLED screen. The XR doesn’t feel like much of a “downgrade”. The battery life is actually better than the XS max. The XS max certainly isn’t worth the extra £350 over the XR in my opinion after using both.

I got the 256GB Max but with Apple Care and the case, came to around £1500.

I love the phone, looking back though, i have no idea how i justified the cost

Ive had no issues with eye strain with my Max, but everyone is different. 2 of my friends have the XR for example and i can't use a phone with an LCD screen anymore. the difference is night and day for me at least. Same can be said for using a phone with top and bottom bezels, cant do it! :D

What’s the score if on the upgrade program this year. Of course I would sell the phone than hand it back. Does the AppleCare stay with the phone to the next user

You can get a refund on the balance of the AC+ or transfer it to someone else who buys the phone.
