isn't that for the xs max which has a bigger screen than the xplus ? sorry if its not but assumed xs max was bigger than the plus of last year.

Yes the XS prices are exactly the same for 64Gb and 256Gb compared to the X

Waiting for o2 prices. It's going to be silly the amount of money I'll be paying monthly (as it's my favoured choice of purchasing one). Think I'm currently paying £30 and £38 for the 8+ 256Gb per month. Any ideas on how much more it will cost for the Xs Max 256?

I was hoping for a bit better pricing, not purchasing at these prices. Apple has priced me out of the iPhone ecosystem I'm seriously for the first time ever considering Android now.

I wouldn't be surprised if you had to pay £150 upfront and £60 a month just for the iPhone XS Max 256GB. Then £30 for your carrier plan (data/talk/text).

Whilst I agree, I don’t think I could ever switch to Android now, I’m too invested in Apple.

Comparing the X to the Xs I really can’t see much difference. It’s faster but the X is already fast and most other features seem the same, particularly the camera which I was most interested in an upgrade to.

I’m going to see if I can get a good deal on an iPhone X tomorrow I think to justify the extra cost of the series 4 Watch.

sorry thought you were commenting on the price\size ratio; the Xs Max has the same dimension as the previous regular plus iPhones but with less bezel/more screen display

I assume with the new dual sim option that the only networks it will work with are EE and vodaphone but if you buy it outright it will work with those networks obviously for a charge its not just iphones that are bought from EE etc

Hope i've got that correct as i wouldn't want to buy outright and find its not compatible

wow looks like I'm holding on to my 7+ for one more year. I've been buying iPhones since the first A&TT/02 days but £1249 is Macbook money which I'd use for years. Ironically I'm earning twice as much as I used to but just can't justify these prices when come next year I'll be ogling at the next model. £

1249 wouldn't be that bad if it held its resale value but in this era in Brexit you would struggle to get half of that back next year

I was 100% sure I’d be sticking with my 8.

I said to my cousin last night if Apple announce a blue iPhone that’s designed like the X. Had better battery life that’s not stupidly priced I’ll upgrade. I was pretty certain non of that would happen.

Happy to eat humble pie and can’t wait to get my new blue iPhone 10r

I used to feel that way but now I feel like I can't afford to not look at other options.

Keep in mind that new iPhone XR only has a 720p display. They've cut a few corners.

Wonder if Very will do 20% off first credit order, then I might bite.

But looking like my iPhone 7 will remain for another year.

i've been able to get £625 from last years xplus 256gb which was £1150 i agree though i doubt many people will continue to upgrade each year like they have been doing.

i've decided not to buy an apple watch series 4 so overall they have lost money from me this year might change my mind towards christmas but then i'll probably think 9 more months and then the series 5 will be out.

Anyone else on the upgrade programme?

In two minds here. I’ve never used AppleCare. I want the max and it is only £5 a month more for the equivalent 64gb version, making it £61.45 (gulp). However it’s £51.45 with the iPhone payments option (without AppleCare). Really not sure what to do!!

I mean you could always just buy Applecare separately rather than have it included in your monthly price.
Thats what I did with the iPhone 7, but obviously you wouldn't get the option to upgrade through Apple next September.

I wonder what the demand for the XS and XS Max will be like? Last year the X was out of stock for a while, i wonder if they are going to be better stocked, considering there are 2 models and 3 different colour choices. Not to mention Apple are launching pretty much world wide within two weeks.

I honestly don’t care. I’ll obviously go and see the phone first before buying but I love it already. Ive honestly watched every keynote since the 5 and been disappointed after every one until now. Hahaha all it took was a blue phone

Even with all the inducements I am just not that interested in yearly upgrades these days. As I changed to an X last year it will probably be a couple more years before I upgrade again.

I'm on an EE 20GB Max Sim Only plan, but I need more data. EE no longer sell Max plans on sim only, so I might just get the XS on contract with them and sell my X.

I wonder if EE will allow student discount on the XS? I remember it couldn't be used on the X last year, as they bundled some headphones or something which voided student discount.
