Looking forward to EE’s Black Friday sim only must have deals :); last year’s £100 reward MasterCard did not see the light of day:p
got exactly that.. been holding onto that £100 card to buy new AirPods which haven't materialised.. I'm going to just but apple store vouchers with it as the card expires after a year.

Anybody got an order confirmation email from EE ?
I upgraded before 8am on their website, paid my £100 (and is showing as pending on my bank account) but no confirmation yet (although the website order process seemed to work ok).

I got one from EE for my upgrade.

...that is gonna be one slippery bugger even though its 'matte' textured, the back will still be slippery!

Apple leather case for me - will pick one up in store.

Also, what are the chances they will still have stock of the new watches also as want to see them up close and personal before I purchase one?!

Stores usually carry ancillary stock on launch day.
You should be fine.

Can you do that? Will the store allow you to set up the phone you’ve just returned on iUP otherwise they might not have stock...
yup you can. I did exactly that last year.. was painless to do. They just refunded the phone and then quickly assigned it back as IUP for me. All done in 20 minutes in store

I was able to get XS Max 64GB Gold, but not for pickup. I have an Apple Store £200 voucher I want to use. I wanted to select pickup, but by the time the store opened up for me on any device, it was too late to select any pickup option.

Can I contact Apple and see if they can readjust my order, applying the £200 voucher?

Guys, I can't seem to find the answer anywhere...

On EE, can you upgrade after 12 months on ANY of the plans?

Availability seems very good this year (or weak demand). Can still get XS on the 21st when ordering now.
has to be availability, these things must have been pouring out of Shenzhen for months.

I'm nearly on certain, even those who didn't get a net friday delivery date, will see early movement in their phones being delivered!

You can add Apple Care weeks after your purchase... You are golden. Just cancel the 2nd order.
Thanks :)

Both orders now showing as 'Processing' with same 21 Sept delivery date. Therefore I may as well cancel the earlier order (without AC) - as would really hope the later order wont suddenly get a later date!

I got my order in for instore pick up fine but stupidly didn't go through the iUP link. Is payment going to be taken immediately, or, am I fine to still sign up to iUP when I get to the store?
you can tell them the payment method you want when you get there.

If you go onto iPhone page of app or website scroll down to iPhone upgrade program and follow the prompts it’ll show you available times / days

sweet, at least we've got the reservation page to keep hitting up

Someone’s rich ;)
[doublepost=1536913201][/doublepost]Does anyone know if I purchase a case and the belkin screen protector online to collect in store that they can use the belkin special machine to instal the glass protector for me?
going to go protector-less this year, might as well risk it being on IUP and having apple care... will still keep it in a case though

Thanks Jinjin. Half asleep and in a rush this morning so missed the iUP link and ordered for instore pick up the normal way. Then was a bit worried I might be charged in advance. Don't suppose it would make a lot of sense to charge straight away as I imagine a number of pickups don't turn up.

Just upgraded with EE online. I can only presume their website is glitching - I kept getting an error message after entering payment details for the upfront fee.

Tried it a few times, almost gave up until an e-mail confirmation came through.

I’ve gone for:

EE Upgrade
Max Plan 20gb
£80 upfront
£70.40 per month

iPhone XS Max
256gb
Space Grey

I’m happy with that. :)

I've had a nightmare with EE.

Basically I'm eligible for an early upgrade (my sim only contract ends in 6 weeks). I changed my direct debit details with EE a week ago over to my new Monzo current account.

Changing your bank details puts a 30 day block on your account from upgrading, due to security reasons.

This wouldn't usually be a problem, as I could upgrade over the phone, however I have a 20% Unidays discount code which can only be used online. So I've either got to wait about 23 days to order, or pay 20% more.

Gutted.

I could buy outright and keep my sim only, but EE actually works out cheaper on contract with 20% off.

EDIT I could take out a new contract, but I'd like to keep my old number. Anyone know if I can just move my sim only number to the new contract when I end it?

For the first time ever I've not bought on launch day. Feels like very marginal upgrade but would appreciate the bigger screen on the Max. Curious to see if the camera gets anywhere close to the Pixel.

I'm weighing up iUp/interest free payments against a contract. EE seems like your phone can't be unlocked for 6 months, is that right? Real shame as I travel to countries that I need a local sim. How about Vodafone, are theirs unlocked, struggling to see. Also do Vodafone offer a yearly upgrade like EE?

Any experience would be much appreciated.
ideal if that new esim capability is enabled and works for you by then in the countries you're going to!
