Anyone else have an problem adding their IUP order to the wallet from the link the email confirmation or the Apple store app?

Looks like the link is 503ing

I managed to add mine the minute the email came through - that was just after 08:05ish this morning. Perhaps the servers have taken a hammering today? I would keep trying however as long as you have also received an email confirming your reservation (I did), then you shouldn’t need to add it to the wallet app as well.

After complaining non-stop about the crazy price increases i broke down and ordered the 256B XS Max in gold.

I was adamanet I would skip this year and stick with my 8+ but rang up Sky on a punt and got offered a pretty mind blowing deal which I couldn’t really turn down.

Ordered around 8pm and my delivery is guaranteed for launch day next Friday so I guess demand can’t be that high right now.

Overall SO excited, can’t wait to have the phone in my hands

Now have to decide if I want a skin or case.....

What did they offer you mate?

I’m on a switch12 contract so I’ll be sending back my 256GB 8+ to sky (they assure price of £380 for it) then it will be £55/month for the phone and data (12GB/month that rolls over) plus a 20GB bonus for signing today plus another 10GB.

Discounts and promotional offer applied becuase I am a Sky “VIP” customer (basically been with Sky for >10 years now) which I wasn’t expecting at all and really sweetened the pot.

It’s pretty much identical to what I’m already paying for my 8+, considering I was expecting to pay >£80/month I’m really quite blown away.

Although that is a good deal, I feel you got really ripped off for the price of the 8+? Looking on ebay, you can sell it for nearly £600...

£600, really? Wow.

Looked on Envirofone and they were only offering £390 (so £10 more than Sky priced it at) for it

Trade in websites ALWAYS lowball you...
Oh wow lol.

Guess that explains the relatively good deal Sky offered me ;)

Anyway I had to trade the phone in to them as part of the deal. I’m not overly bothered as the equity that will be left in my XS MAX next year woo contribute to my next upgrade. If ever I “cash out” I may realise the loss but for low monthly payments I’m relatively satisfied with what I got.

I've been offered £635 from envirofone for my 256GB X. Do you guys think it's with putting on eBay (at the moment I have £1 selling fees) or is it just too much hassle?

Not sure if I can hold out until December. I’ve just locked in £580 for my iPhone X on Mazuma. I might just bite the bullet and pay off my O2 contract and start again.

Have you sold to envirophone before?

Is it an easy process?

I think I may be on the best deal here ;)

My Three sim-only tariff: AYCE Data + AYCE Texts + 200 mins. Cost: £7 pm

iPhone XS 64GB interest free payments over 20 months. Cost: £999

Total cost over 24 months: £1167

Sold previous iPhone 7 for £300.

Final total cost = £867
Final cost per month (over 24 months) = £36.13
for iPhone XS with unlimited data :)

For the uninitiated, this is an average cost over a period of 24 months, not the price I pay per month.

I pay £16.50 per month for unlimited mins and texts, with 40GB of data and Spotify Premium, on Vodafone friends and family.

On average, iPhone X 256GB (unlocked) sells for £750. Fees amount to approx 10% so -£75 brings it to £675. £40 more if you sell it. Decide whether that £40 is worth it to you or not. Personally I'd trade in at that quoted price.

If you can sell it for £735 cash try that as well. Ask friends/family.

As he mentioned there is a promotion on eBay offering just £1 final value fee so if he sold for £750 he’d get £749 minus the PayPal fee (3.4% + 20p) = £723 so a fair bit more than the recycler.

There are genuine buyers on eBay , I bought an X 256GB on there today !

They’ve sent me a package to send to them. They also extended the date to send my x to 21/09. They are a reputable company.

I cannot wait to Friday next week ordered the iPhone XS 64GB Gold this morning.
Ordered a new sim EE contract 40gb for £10 a month.
12 month contract total price £120 a year.

I preordered two iPhones with the intention of cancelling one tonight once I had decided on he colour I was settled on. However when I log in it is now too late to cancel the order. Will I be able to return one of the phones to an Apple store for a full refund based on this mistake?

Yes. You can return it within the 14-30 day window depending on where you are. Or you could sell it on (but beware of scammers!).

Thanks. Will Apple be ok with me saying nothing wrong with it just ordered and never cancelled in time?

Could I open both to choose between the colours?

Yes you can open it and use it fully for 14 days and then return it. Apple are really good with their returns policy.
