Still waiting for the Spigen glass screen protector for the Xs Max.

Or is there other brands on Amazon or EBay which are any good and are available?

The Belkin one on the Apple site is massively overpriced!

I'm going in-store and getting them to apply the Belkin one.

This is misleading as it appears as if XS Max is very slightly taller than the 8 plus - whereas actually the Max is about 1mm shorter. Can look at the detailed measurements under the technical info section on the Apple website.
1mm difference equals same size in my mind. I'll find out on Friday!

Anybody ordered the Apple official cases? Might get the silicone when going out etc

Always have at least two cases

I'm going for silicone stone case for my Gold Max

This is what I’d like to do. Do you know if they’re doing this in store from Friday?

I haven't got a clue. I'm hoping so as I want to go over the weekend.

I tried EE the other day. Been with them since 2013. I pay £20 for 25GB Sim only, which I think is not too shabby. Problem is that they probably know that EE is best with my Celular Apple Watch
Supported on Vodafone now too.

Have they sorted em out wasn’t there issues with the invisiGlass cracking
Yes, they’re available again, had one applied to my 8+’the other day.

I need a cheap sim plan for my GOLD iPhone XS Max please don't tell me to go to three uk the speeds are like 56k here in London town.

EE only offer me £17 today on the 40gb usage plan+unlimited should I take it or decline it.
What do you think

Completely agree. Central London, my commute, near the office.. speeds are terrible. Mostly have great 4g signal but terrible speeds. Websites, Apple Music nothing loads.

Moved to EE last year and a massive improvement

I’m not sure about a protector if I went on iUP am I bothered if there is some small markings on the screw ?

Last few times I’ve used the Apple applied ones however on my X the belkin protecter has cracked and lifted!!!! Not what I expect for the money!

Spoke with Apple and they told me I have to go through Belkin and raise an issue.

Won’t do that again

Already there are online pages saying delivery is being pushed back by a few weeks if you didn’t get an early pre-order in yesterday morning. Don’t know if it’s scaremongering or if Apple have under-produced enough handsets again as per usual. The watches have been ‘dispatch within 28 days’ since launch opened, and I’m fine with that, as if they tell you upfront, you can’t expect it on launch day. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed x

Personally I have found the glass protector which Apple supply themselves (Belkin) are top quality.

I had one of these applied to my 8 Plus last year, in store, when I collected my phone on the IUP (they used a machine to apply it to my phone) and it’s still the very same one on my phone today - no scratches, no chips, no blemishes, nothing - and that’s after a whole year’s worth of usage!!

Definitely gonna ask them to apply the same one to my XS this time around...

Anyone on a SIM only deal with EE? I'm currently with O2 and looking for opinions on coverage, and whether you can get another SIM for an iPad and data share with an EE SIM only.

Cheers

Couldn’t fault them until the X one which was shocking. The hoops to go through to have it replaced is very un Apple if You ask me!

Plus if it’s going back on the iUP then does it matter anyway?

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
Ok, I can’t get the Max, or XR if I wanted to, I tried the Note 9 in store today with its 6.4” screen, this size is totally a two handed device, it’s far far far too big for my hands to do anything remotely one handed on..!!
I would just end up very frustrated and throwing them out the window lol!

So.. I am now in a dilemma, do I now buy the 5.8” XS, or save money and buy the now discounted X? It’s now £899. Is it worth the extra £100 for the XS?
What do you guys think?

Do yourself a favour and save the £100, use it for a decent case or the airpad if it ever releases!

If you bought it from Apple, your (legal) contract is with Apple.

It really grinds my gears when employees either lie or are ill informed about a customer’s rights.

I ordered a 64gb max when the site went live Friday morning. Hadn’t had chance to research it but buy a new one each year. After checking used values (of the x) and watching a few vids I’ve requested apple cancel my order. £5-600 upgrade for it to be a tiny bit bigger just feels a bit wasteful to me. Woman at apple says they put request in but I may need to reject it if it gets dispatched.

Pity the x has been such an amazing device.

Other bonus is either because demand isn’t there or there is masses of stock, picking one up should be quite easy if I change my mind. Speaking to car phone warehouse earlier, they haven’t had a single pre order yet (local store not as a whole)

I will find it hard to resist opening it if it turns up though

Yeah, I do care about the camera though, but not sure if the improvement will be £100 worth? I’ve seen the X take some stunning photos. It’ll be a massive upgrade from my 6S!

I just read a report saying they were already running of current supply and orders placed from yesterday evening may have a 2 week + delay.

See I thought this! But Apple weren’t interested and said to contact belkin who will send out a replacement and they’ll fit it.

Totally crap service from Apple I thought. I also notice they’re so reluctant to carry out any servicing to their iPhones. My work iPhone 6s is showing 93% battery after only 4 months and they wouldn’t accept that as being crap despite it enabling performance management!!

My argument is what’s the point in a phone that can’t support itself due to the battery after less than a year!!

There’s quite clearly something majorly bad about the 6S and it’s batteries

The Belkin ones used to be 21mm thick and were not very good so they took them off sale for a while to get the issue sorted. They came back on sale with a product that was 29mm thick and much better quality. Mine broke maybe 2/3 times and Apple sorted it each time with a refund after the final time it happened!
