I see lots of you are mentioning you have paid off you IUP with Barclays, just hoping you guys have already got your AppleCare+ refunded before doing so. I got my 11 pro max on launch day and the AppleCare+ team advised me yesterday I am entitled to about £86 refund. They advised to do this call Apple speak to the AppleCare+ team they will cancel it for you and about 10 days later the refund will reduce the balance with Barclays. You can then either clear the balance or continue paying off via the monthly payments. They also advised that when the balance is reduced the payments stay the same but the amount of payments remaining reduce.
Also something else I have learnt is, if you pay the £200 for AppleCare+ and have to make a claim and then decide to upgrade next year then the amount you would be refunded would be reduced due to that claim but if you pay for AppleCare+ monthly for £9.99 then your not paying upfront and if you make a claim then when you cancel it you are not punished. This way you only pay £120 for AppleCare+ if you plan to upgrade next year on launch day. If you pay upfront and make a claim then it could end up costing you the full £200 possibly. Obviously if you intend to keep your phone 2 years it works out more expensive paying for AppleCare monthly.
