Any reason to wait if you’re going to buy AppleCare+ anyway? It only lasts 2 years from date of purchase of the device doesn’t it?

That was a quick replacement after being told could be 3 - 4 weeks. TBF they did an advance return so don’t need to send this one back until replacement is received.

I remember you saying that! Did they diagnose remotely or just immediately offered a replacement?

Hopefully, your replacement iPad is ace!

it was diagnosed remotely but I also had a Genius appointment on the 22nd May who confirmed it needs replacing.

Not either pushing the iPad it’s displayed a temperature warning up while typing a post on here. twice in last 5 mins

Was it actually hot?
I am wondering whether the temperature sensor was faulty or it was another issue making it very hot.

Sorry for the questions. I am genuinly interested

Probably the sensor coz the iPad isn’t even slightly warm. pretty cool TBH

Screen flashes black displays the warning for about 3 secs and it’s back to the lock screen

Ordered a 512GB version of the 12.9 last night (along with the 2nd gen pencil) and it's being delivered tomorrow, upgrading from a 2017 10.5 64GB iPad Pro and can't wait :D
