I've managed to nip from my desk for 5 minutes but TNT are experiencing "an extrememly high number of calls". Bugger.

Yeouch. I would be extremely bewildered (and a bit worried) if I was in your shoes. It probably is a mistake and your iPad is probably fine and this is someone else's details gone onto your tracking - but Jeez Louise, you just don't need it, do you ?

I'm in Lenton, NG7.

Just got off the phone with them, apparently they're doing two deliveries today anyway so they're going to try again this afternoon. I guess we'll see if they turn up this time.
That's strange, I know of 3 people in NG7 who have had theirs! Must be a mistake on yours I guess.

I'm in NG6 and still nothing here :( NG7 is quite a way away from NG6 though!

Delivered in Colchester - last one of 1700 in Colchester. TNT delivery man was extremely friendly :)

According to him Apple are running an incentive to give a discount to hubs that get them all out today - so don't despair if its not arrived!

Back to work!

i am in work for 5. they just phoned me and asked if i come in at 4. errrm nope.

i live by liverpool, the wirral to be exact. i don't think it should have taken from 6am lol, but i am sure ups know what they are doing with their delivery service so i will have to sit and wait quietley. macrumoring on my macbook. not my ipad :(

My friend who got his iPad this morning has just offered to come over and house sit for me from about five o clock, so he can receive the iPad if it isn't there by the time I have to go. Result !
Perhaps I can dare go and have a shower around 4pm, the latest I can leave it (I'm a girl, we take longer to get ready ;) ) - I ming by the end of rehearsals, there is no way I want to ming before I start too. :p

Not Impressed

In London W1, nothing from TNT and when i try and call them I just get an annoying American woman's voice says 'all circuits are busy now'..... I wish mine was being delivered by UPS!!!! And on top of this i can only track mine via the International TNT site... the UK site does not recognize my consignment number or my reference number!

Finally got an 'Out For Delivery' on my TNT London City Depot iPad. Who knows when it will arrive though. It's being delivered to my work in the city, nr St Pauls.

It's really, really hard to work today - lol

My day is going something like this:

1. Try and do some work
2. Check Delivery tracker on iPod Touch
3. Read this thread for latest postings
4. Look at the clock
5. Go to step 1.

Anyone else getting their iPad delivery from Croydon (London) hub had theirs delivered yet? Thanks.

IPAD HAS LANDED! CB1 Cambridge. I asked about CB4, different van.. Someone in Fulbourn is getting the next one;)

my delivery was on 2 consignment numbers and all confused, it took the guy like 5 minutes with his ass hanging out the van to work it all out.. I've never wanted to bash someone over the head with a blunt object so much in my life.. GIMMIE!

Anyway, unboxing time..

lucky you enjoy, thanks for asking.

No dice here.

On the positive side I've decided that if I'm going to sit here and not work, I might as well play a little Portal on Steam.

I've also had a very enjoyable day so far watching the traffic through my "remote road viewing delivery device" photobooth.

So far: 7 cement mixers, countless lorries, one DHL, one interlink express, one UPS, no TNT.

The wait is over

After days of following TNT trackers both Austrailian and UK, TNT flights over Europe and constantly comparing the UK and US Apple stores regarding my order status I finally got my iPad at 7-30 this morning.

Rang the Swansea TNT base this morning who told me I could pick it up. Raced over, raced back home to sync with iTunes and was only 30 minutes late for work :)

Work stopped for 30 minutes just looking at the device and there are a number of people who will be trying to get one tomorrow...

I have the 32gb wifi version and was worried that I had over hyped it up but I havent.

It truly is great. Can see the benefit of the 3G version but have to save for either the new iPhone or Android so I can tether it...

Hope everyone else is as pleased as me.

Got mine this morning via TNT at around 11am :D

its funny, before I was looking at this forum to read about the ipad, now i'm looking at my ipad to read the forum... much better this way round though :p

First post from iPad. Very easy to type on, beautiful thing. Amazing. Only arrived about 10 minuets ago. If they are out for delivery they will come. I am so happy.

lucky you enjoy, thanks for asking.
:(:(:(:apple::(:(:(

Yeah keep the dream alive - yours was on the same initial journey as mine and as of 1 minute ago mine has arrived!

Mine was the last one that the driver had, he seemed tired!

Time to unbox.

Someone else has already verified the dimensions, but just so you know, I've weighed up my WiFi iPad package (that is, iPad inside iPad box inside brown postage box) and the weight is 1586g. You (well, your mother) will be wanting to use either International Signed-For Small Packets or Airsure Small Packets, and with the maximum insurance available (£500) – giving a postage cost of £16.35 or £17.00 respectively.

Much obliged, Be3G, that's what I was hoping for. Now I can give my mum some precise instructions. The first part of which is going to be please try to stay at home tomorrow, as it looks like she missed TNT today. (My tracking status has reverted to please call from out for delivery.) My fault for living in a country a bit too far down Apple's priority list...

Has anyone from Northumberland got theirs yet? Or am I the only country bumpkin up here, on here?

I'm in Corbridge, and still waiting. Even on a "normal" day, it's unusual for tnt to deliver anything to my neck of the woods until well after lunch, so I'm not panicking... Yet.
