I received the Order Shipped email at 1am today

I ordered the 64GB 3G iPad, Dock, Case, Camera Connector and VGA adaptor. All the items I ordered are showing as shipped. I didn't order a sim.

I've noticed people confirming shipments with O2 and Orange sims, I haven't spotted any with Vodafone sims but with so many posts I might have missed them. Anyone seen a Vodafone Sim shipment?

I ordered at 10.00am on the 10th and received the confirmation email at 1.45pm.

Mine's Vodafone (crappy tariffs but the only network to get 3G at college), and it shipped yesterday afternoon.

Nothing wrong with the tariffs!

Hey mate what time did you order and when did you get your confirmation email?

Thanks

Ordered at 6AM on the 10th, received the confirmation about 30 minutes later.

My tracking number is 10 numbers but UPS site says it should be 9?

Shipped!
UPS (UK) appear to be the assigned courier, as I expected. My Apple Case is still with B3 Netherlands, but it'll switch to UPS next week once it hits the UK.

64GB wifi+3G case and Vodafone sim. Dispatched via UPS ordered half 1 in the morning of the 10th. Really happy now hehe!!! Shipping is split into two orders. 1 iPad and the other the case and sim

I'm getting worried that Apple's systems have a glitch on my order. I got the "Your Apple Order W<...> Has Been Shipped" email yesterday and if I log onto my Apple Store account I see my order status as shipped but I can't even see how to get to a "Track this shipment" page.

The only option I have on the orders screen is the "View order details" button and if I click that then I see a bit more info on the left like shipping method is "Fast ship (EMEA)". My estimated delivery on the email says "We expect your order to be delivered to your shipping address on or before 28.05.2010." but on the Apple Store pages it says "Estimated delivery:<blank>" although there is a 9 digit number underneath. I've tried the 9 digit number in TNT (UK & China-English) and in UPS but nothing recognises it.

Is anyone else seeing very sparse details like the above? Maybe mine is air-freighting from China and the proper tracking info won't go live until it gets handed over to someone like TNT when it arrives at some hub in Europe which, given it said it shipped on Saturday, will be tomorrow I hope.

I've had exactly the same experience since my iPad shipped late yesterday evening. Don't worry however; within the next 12 hours or so the 9-digit number you see should start working on TNT's site as a consignment number, like mine has. Alternatively, you'll be able to use the 10-digit Apple reference which TNT will have designated as a reference number. These numbers will work in the widget that's been discussed too (I know they will because I've got it set up with my TNT delivery right now!).

I'm using the JuneCloud iPhone app, and (semi) interestingly, my Apple order status has changed again from "Shipped!" to "Shipment dispatched".

My 7:25am order of a 32GB 3G, case, camera kit and O2 sim now shows as dispatched and I got the email 20 minutes ago, if anyone's keeping track.

Also I tried the JuneCloud app but it doesn't support TNT UK so while it does mirror the Apple Store order details to show 'dispatched' or whatever, it won't actually track the TNT UK delivery, sadly. Nice looking widget though!

Five more sleeps...

Just a quick thought, and one that's probably come up already (this thread is hard to follow). Perhaps TNT showing it as delivered on 25th is actually when we'll be getting it. It would explain why Apple aren't allowing in-store pre-orders (because stores get it on the 28th and store pre-orders would have to wait a few extra days).

Has anyone else who paid by debit card still got the money in their account, but has the order showing as shipped? You'd think Apple would take the money before actually shipping the device...

I paid by debit card and the money is still in my bank. My stuff was listed as shipped last night. I am sure they will grab their money well before Friday.

MY ORDER HAS SHIPPED VIA UPS (10-digit tracking number) :D

Received shipping confirmation email from Apple today at 15:32.

32GB 3G iPad + Vodafone Sim.

Ordered 1030AM 10th May.

I was a little concerned by this. When I first put in my pre-order the money was deducted from my account (debit card), although it never showed up on any of my statements online or at the ATM. A few days later, the money reappeared and has yet to be taken (again).

No idea what that was about, but maybe they were checking I was good for the money before actually sending the device. Which still doesn't make a lick of sense...

How many times do we have to go over this?
Apple pre-authorise transactions if you're using a credit card, or a Visa debit. This means they check the money is there, and return it a few days later. They'll take the money properly before the 28th.

Chances are you have a VISA debit card as opposed to a Maestro. Apple seem to treat the VISA debit cards in the same way as a VISA credit card which involves a pre-authorisation. As the money isn't taken you bank will return it to your account after a number of days which seems to vary bank to bank. The VISA credit people will find this amount has been put aside ready for the final deduction when shipped. A Maestro debit card will be debited the amount immediately after you order.

It's getting a bit harder to look back on that sort of stuff. I have noticed the other EU thread has been cut down to half a dozen pages now. I know there was a lot mentioned about it a few days after the 10th. Looks like part of the thread has been archived somewhere.

My order just changed to 'Shipped' also.

iPad is in one shipment, Sim & Dock with a second tracking number.

Hmmm. I have four shipments.

1. iPad
2. Case and Sim
3. Two docks and Camera Kit
4. Extra power supply

I wonder if this is supply related (more than one source) or if Apple have negotiated some kind of unit deal with the carrier based on average expected order size.

On it's way

Had my shipping confirmation email now - iPad 32GB Wifi & 3G, case and O2 sim - two parcels, one for the iPad, one for the other 2 bits.

They are using UPS for mine so I'm really glad I've sent it to my partners work address and not home - UPS just give up if they can't find new addresses round here (Cheshire)!

Anyone know where UK models are shipping from? It's not showing up on the UPS site just yet....
