May 10, 2010 at 07:18 PM GMT I ordered. Tried first thing before work at 5am and it wouldnt let me use my debit card.

I don't understand why everybody is so anxious about their order being shipped. They could send it the day before launch and it will still arrive on launch day. It's not going to arrive earlier.

I must admit I do like tracking stuff though.

not sure if ups would jeopardise their deals with apple, apple must be a huge customer and the ipad is a massive deal...

I've found that delivery companies generally don't care. All the poor service from those idiots Dell use never prompted them to change companies. I've never had a single thing from Dell delivered on the day it was supposed to be. Always "We called but nobody was in" when you're perched by the door waiting for them to arrive all day.

Thankfully my local UPS depot is close and opens early on a Saturday but if it happens I think I'll be fairly annoyed :)

Italian iPad prepared for shipment

Ok I'm not in the UK but... my iPad is PREPARED FOR SHIPMENT! Yahoo!!

iPad wi-fi 32GB-ISP pre-ordered on 10 May at 5:16 GMT. :)

Whoo Hoo!

Ordered 04:34 (03:34 GMT) a 64GB Wi-Fi with dock...

Now showing as prepared for shipment and the money is still pre-allocated at the bank!

Still delivers by May 28th but hey, after this long a wait, I can last...

Probably...

With therapy...

... and vodka!?

Hey, here's a thought, maybe Apple are getting guilt pangs about putting back the EU launch a month and are shipping pre-orders early as soon as they are available? :D

....but then again, maybe not :(

Presumably, those shipped will sit in UPS distribution depots until next Friday?

Ive got 2 ipads ordered done 1 day after another -

May 11, 2010 at 03:45 PM GMT - 16gb wifi - option to cancel has disappeared

May 10, 2010 at 01:46 PM GMT 32gb 3g - still able to cancel

I've got a bad feeling about the 3G ones. Macrumors front page is talking about the total lack of them in the US, but the WIFI models are available but not everywhere. Might get put back a week or so.

Lucky me, it's gone to prepared for shipment :)

To be precise...

The tracking widget says "Prepared for shipment", my Apple Store account still says "Not shipped yet" - but I can no longer cancel my order or change the delivery address. So I think all early pre-orders are slowly getting there...

My iPad, ordered early afternoon on the 10th, has also now changed to ‘prepared for shipment’. It's a WiFI 16GB model being delivered to the northern tip of London.

Now, I've noticed something that you all might find interesting. During the US pre-orders, the iPads were detailed as ‘delivers on 3 April’ (source), whereas our order details are saying ‘delivers by 28 May’. See what I'm getting at here? :)

If you have ordered in the UK try tracking your shipment via the US store as the uk store doesn't have a "prepared for shipment" status only not yet shipped or shipped.

Apple made a promise to the buyers that it would be delivered on/by 28th, if there isn't then there are going to be alot of angry customers. The lack of iPads in the US suggests that Apple is putting International buyers first for now.

Thanks, it says that It is Prepared for Shipment - 6.16AM 32GB WiFi only w/ no other accessories in that order.
