)Same for me but on the UK site my order would not let me cancel it so i think that might be an indicator that it is ready to ship as well
Yay, I ordered mine very quickly after the store first came back online, 32GB wifi only, no accessories, and it says it has shipped.
There is a tracking number on the site, looks like it is being shipped from China via TNT. I think there is some chance I may get it a day or two early, far from certain but not impossible.

Ah - I just did this too. UK store says "Not Yet Shipped", US store says "Prepare for Shipping".

Good call on checking the US store. My order (16GB Wi-Fi) now shows 'Prepared for Shipment'. Order confirmation arrived at 10.55am on May 10th.

Swiss site says - not yet sent (i.e. no change)
US says - preparing for shipment (change recently)
(as others have said, you also lose the opportunity to cancel/change address)

Im also really not sure if Apple will bother holding them back till the 28th. Delivered by 28th implies it could be delivered sooner, and its not exactly the initial product launch date so they may not care quite so much about some people getting them earlier than 28th?
Looking at TNT shipping estimates from that part of China, depending on what service Apple have used, the ipads that have shipped today could arrive as early as Monday or as late as Thursday.
Im not going to get carried away but I think Thursday is a possibility.

I ordered at 12:08 GMT (32GB 3G + 32GB Wi-Fi) and my order status hasn't changed.
Mind you, my email confirmation of order wasn't until 12:45 BST (over 11 and a half hours after the order was placed).
EDIT: Previous post which went up while I was writing mine relates to a 3G. Perhaps it is to do with time of confirmation.

Nope. Now the 3G ones are starting to show signs of life. Not mine though. So yep. Getting a little concerned.
Yes, I was slow composing my post and only saw that later.
I am now thinking that it is to do with time of order confirmation. The card I used has very stringent fraud protection and Apple may not have got approval in the middle of the night when I placed the order, hence the delay of over 11 hours for order confirmation.
Sounds like they're working through the list in the order the orders were placed - so 08:17 means I have a while to wait yet then
Unlikely. Mine was ordered at midnight on the 10th (1am BST).
EDIT: just checked on the US store as somebody suggested and it does indeed say "Prepared for shipment". Went back to order status on the UK Business store and whilst it still just says "not yet shipped", the option to cancel is now greyed out and clicking it says I can't because my items are prepared for shipment.
Just to re-iterate, thats both my iPad and my new shiny MacBook Pro 15" (yes, double Apple toy whammy for me).

My order was 4:45am but I didn't get the confirmation message for another 9 hours. Mine hasn't moved to shipping yet although that widget mentioned earlier is really cool
Actually the store was open just before 1am, for the time shown on my order is May 9, 2010 at 11:57 PM GMT. I received confirmation email at 01:08AM BST.
