Weird reading about correlation between order and confirmation time. I ordered around 7:30, got an email an hour later.

Ordered at 6AM on the 10th. 16GB 36 + Case.
Both US/UK site showing 'Not yet shipped'.

Mine has just gone to:

May 9, 2010 at 10:48 PM PDT - Order number xxxxxxxxx View order details
Prepared for Shipment
Ships: Delivers by May 28th

:D

Wow didn't realise how much interest this threat would generate when I started it this morning.... Just to up date

No money taken so far - WTF

I too am getting pretty anxious... I've had a couple of calls with Apple and they've all told me different things, so who know what's really going to happen.

I got a 32 GB 3G w/ Camera kit and the MobileMe deal (order placed at 7:30GMT, confirmed at 11:07 BST) - still showing not yet shipped on both US and UK.

Did everyone else receive detailed shipping info (ie for each item?) My confirmation doesn't list shipping info for each item (it's just blank) and the estimated delivery date is blank, too...

My 3G 64Gb is showing as "Prepared for Shipping" on the US site.

Still showing as "Estimated shipping: by May 28th" on the UK site.

So I went back and looked at my original confirmation...

The Vodafone sim appears to be the hold-up.

I better not get delayed due to a 20p bit of feckin' plastic! :(

Well, I just tried ringing Apple in the US. Hoping to find out why mines held up and if it's the dreaded bank thats the problem. Nice chap, but he had no details of the order number even though I can look at it on their website. But what he did say was there are shipping delays out of China at the moment because of "issues" in the country. He did say the UK number will be manned tomorrow.

No-one else have their order cancelled without warning or explanation then?

Sounds like Apple's arbitrarily picking out addresses with multiple orders. Bit of a bugger.

delete from orders
where product = 'ipad'
and building_number = 'Sin's work'
and postcode = 'Sin's work postcode'

insert into deletion_explanations (id, reason)
values (null, null)

Hmm, I wonder if any of the 'Prepared for Shipment' will get shipped this evening or whether it will be left until Monday now. I can't imagine any changes now as it is the middle of the night in China (he says as he hits refresh on tracking widget ;)) and I'm not sure if they ship them on weekends.

I ordered mine on May 10th 12:04 AM GMT (01:04 AA BST) and it's not yet shipped.

Ordered:
1 X 32 GB WIFI iPAD
1 X APPLE CASE

Maybe the Apple case is affecting the shipping?

Either way, still says "delivers by 28th May" so not too worried lol

Update:

U.S. Store says - Prepared for Shipment - Ships: Delivers by May 28th
U.K. Store says - Not yet Shipped - Estimated shipping: Delivers by May 28th

Both have the greyed out link to "cancel items" so I guess the U.S store is more up to date!

Ordered 64GB WiFi at 06:29 UK time 10th May and now showing 'Prepared for shipment' on US site and 'Not yet shipped' on UK site. Interestingly, earlier today the cancel order link was still blue on the UK site (around lunchtime) and now it's greyed out suggesting that the iPad is now allocated to me - Ho hum. We'll see.:)

Thank's I had seen that. As far as I know everything is go on the payment front. Plus the bank assure me everything is fine. No idea why my order is sat there exactly the same as it was on the 10th at 12:29GMT.

Do you still have the option to cancel? If so, I feel your pain, especially with your extra precautions. No justice.

Yes I can still cancel. No change. Just goes to show that waiting for the shop to open at that time in the morning was a total waste of time.

Same boat here. No movement on the order and still have the option to cancel. It shouldn't make any difference though. I don't think anyone will get them before Friday.
