Ordered by first ever SS Apple Watch. Will replace by aluminium S4 that has served me nicely for a couple of years!

Placed an order at 19:14, figuring out what size loop to go for was a bit of a spanner in the way of the rapid checkout I was after.

Yes the rapid checkout experience is somewhat hampered by the find a piece of paper, a ruler and a pencil. Felt like an episode of Blue Peter!

Got the Stainless Steel with white sports band coming this Friday.

I ordered the braided loop separately and that's coming 23rd.

The only way to get the initial delivery date for Friday was to order the watch without the combined new bands sadly. I needed a new white sports band anyway.

It also allowed me to properly measure my wrist and not drop in the queue.

Friday here! The model and size I wanted seemed to be one of the few that was available for Friday delivery.

Also ordered the new Hermes double tour band which is arriving the same day, and the braided loop which is 23 Sept.

It's weird that the items due late next week are 'Preparing to Ship' but the ones due for delivery Friday aren't.

Someone in another thread proposed that maybe the ones due later are coming from manufactory, which makes sense. Shorter preparation time if it’s already where it’s supposed to be?

Ordered mine straight after the store went online - got a new delivery date of 28th September! Hoping it changes though!

I can't decide what to get, does anyone know Apple are allowing try-ons in store at the moment or has it stopped with all the Covid precautions?

Last I checked (although was a couple months or so ago now) they are doing try-ons. It’s a bit delicate though.

Woke up to a nice big “DECLINED” notification from Apple Pay as the bank suspected it was fraud ??‍♀️ thankfully my lead time didn’t slip as a result of updating the payment info, like it would have done several years ago!

A bit offtopic
I'm in Germany, but the same thing happend to me.
Got a notification this morning that payment through apple pay was declined.
Called the Card issuing bank. The person that took the call even but me on hold to talk to some colleagues.
Apparently the error message was "Wrong Wallet" and they haven't seen it before, but it's nothing wrong with the card and they weren't the entity blocking the payment.
Next I called Apple. Their support worker told me that it's not an uncommon problem. They even have a support note to just reenter the cerdit card details manually with the customer.

Do you mind saying what bank this was? Can't believe these banks still do this every year.

Apple Pay with Face ID and they decline it!

Managed to get £220 for my Series 5 40mm Aluminium.

I would love one of the higher end models but I can't justify the price difference as I tend to upgrade every year. I really liked the look of the gold but the aluminium version looks slightly more rose-gold than the stainless steel. I also have a couple of the more expensive bands that wouldn't have matched.

Only ordered the Nike strap because it was available on the 18th. First thing I'm going to do is swap it out for my black leather strap.
