I was in the Apple store queue one day waiting for a new phone and someone said John Lewis had them all in stock, same price, no queue and 2 year warranty, was worth the short walk.
I’ve not queued up since the iPhone 4 launch. I was one of the first 10 through the door. Quite the experience, but not one I’ll be repeating.

Really struggled between ordering blue and red , went with blue in the end.

Just ordered from EE, they have zero stock but will send me a text when stock arrives

I remember being in Westfield London when a new iPad was released, the queue was out of the centre and around the corner for Apple Store.

I simply walked into a TV/electronics store in Westfield and hey presto, new iPad. One person in front of me.

Music Magpie offering £130 (as of yesterday) for Series 4 watches.

I’ve used them before and they pay quickly.

Ordered a blue watch 6 Cellular with braided blue strap coming on 28th Sept 🤞🏻 But in my haste to order I measured my wrist wrong & ordered a size 9 instead of an 11 - Will apple let me swap it out in store or will I have to contact on line support? Don’t want to cancel or amend order in case it puts my shipping date back. Thoughts please?

Ordered red GPS 40mm Series 6 with red sport loop. Expected delivery is Sept 30-2 Oct. Not too bad considering the late ordering

Well EE have managed to confuse me. Was all set to order blue (or maybe red) aluminium model and just seen they are offering the Stainless Steel Graphite for about an extra £5 a month.

Now I’m completely torn. My first couple of watches were the stainless ones and they felt premium on my wrist. When Series 4 launched I got an aluminium one and did the same with the 5 but they never felt weighty on my wrist and I was always scared of bashing the screen.

And now I don’t know what to do. Part of me loves the coloured aluminium but the other part of me wants to get the Graphite mainly just for the fact it has DLC and a sapphire screen.

I wish there was an upgrade option on the Aluminium to get a sapphire screen. I don't really want the added weight of the stainless but would like the more scratch resistant screen (and red case)

I'm really interested to see how the blue & red watches look in the flesh and with different coloured bands on them.

I was stainless steel for the first three watches but switched to aluminium with the four. I liked the weight of the s/steel and the tougher glass, but I didn't like those hairline, tiny scratches the case picked up so wanted to give aluminium a go. Once I got used to the weight difference (which only took a few days), I've just stuck with those ones. I've not noticed any difference in resilience of the glass either and I use my watches all day every day, running up hills, mountain biking etc.

In the end, given I tend to replace the watch every 12-18 months or so, I just couldn't justify the extra for the s/steel and didn't feel like I was missing anything. Just my two cents.
