Even a clean install of iOS 11 didn't resolve it for me.

Back to iOS 10 for now...

I did "Erase All" through settings. With a clean wipe (no restore from backup), Apple Music worked. Forgot to check App Store, but I'm assuming that would work since they use the same backend.

I'm doing a clean install and then an iCloud backup to see if I get lucky.

I got password errors when trying to validate my appstore account, so I went into settings, logged out and signed in again. I did this by clicking on my name/photo right at the top of settings (taking me into the iCloud area) and *not* by scrolling down and using the "iTunes & App Store" option.

I signed out, and then when I signed in again it didn't ask for a password (as I assume it just takes the already authenticated iCloud ID). App Store then worked flawlessly; updates all updated. It took me a few seconds to work out where the "Purchased" section had moved to, so I could download something not already installed as a test. Hint: Click your Apple ID photo top right of the UPDATES screen then click "Purchased".
I just looked at this area (again) and this time something different. Still broken but it said I was signed out of iTunes. When I clicked the link it asked if I was (my name), I said no so that I could use my iTunes login which is different than my iCloud login. It told me my login would be updated to two factor (was two step) and proceeded to login. I still get the fail for Music and App Store but now both my iCloud and iTunes ID's are setup for two factor it looks like. It would be easier if Apple just gave us a way to combine ID's but never going to happen.

Anyhow, thanks for the tips but still broken here for the moment.

Tried all the above, clean wipe, and started from scratch with iOS 10.3.2 (needed in all honesty, a whole load of junk on my phone)

Anybody else stuck with this?

7 Plus installed using profile

Add me to the list, Im unable to sign in to iTunes & App Store in the settings section or switch on my music library in the music section.

It odd that this is not reported more than it is? What is causing it not to happen on all iPhone 7plus.

Update done via downloading the profile and updating...
Its a replacement iPhone 7Plus
I use two Apple ID's (iCloud & iTunes)

I use two as well. My iTunes ID is from way before there was any need to think about iCloud.

I use two as well. I thought this might have been causing the problem but just tried another clean install without signing into my secondary (App Store) account and it still didn't work.

That said, back on iOS 10 and Apple Music still isn't working properly (For You and Browse pages refuse to load) - so I think something is going wrong at Apple's end.

It's frustrating as, aside from this issue, iOS 11 seemed to me to be far smoother than first betas of yesteryear.

A word of caution, if you try the erase all content option, when it loads back up, if you still can’t connect, all you will have is a placeholder for all of your apps as they are in a perpetual state of waiting to download. :(

Found this out 1st hand. Did a ‘new ipad’ setup, and App Store worked without a hitch. Erased again to restore from backup, and still not working, but now I have none of my apps installed locally :’(

any of you notices anything odd in the device list on the my Apple ID website

I can't be purely the dual ID thats causing an issue, as it only seems to be on the 7plus not all models with dual ID

Did everyone who is seeing this issue use the profile and do the OTA update? I’m gonna try and DL the IPSW and restore through iTunes and see if it makes a difference. Here’s to hoping!

I only have 1 ID that’s used for both. I do also have family sharing... haven’t seen anyone else mention that. Dunno if it’s important... but we’re all in the same boat so far. ;)

make sure you fill out a bug report!!

I don't know why, but I tried again today. Even with a fresh install, eventually I loose login capability to the iTunes and App Store.

Can anyone confirm if they have this problem without 2 factor authentication?

My iTunes ID was using two step until just a bit ago. I had the issue with two step, logged out then when I tried to login it asked me to move to two factor. If I use the wrong password to try it fails so its checking something but I cannot reach the server for iTunes.

its not just iPhone 7+ I've also been trying on my iPad pro 9.7 and is still can't get it to work unless i restore and set up as new device, any backup i try whether it is iCloud or from iTunes my app store stops working. Both my iCloud and app store id's are the same. when i restore i get sign into app store but overtime i do it just rejects and asks me to sign in again. to add in i also have family sharing too.

Just to recap. I cannot access the App Store, I cannot see any of my Apple Music, I cannot activate iCloud Music library, I have no way to login to TestFlight, no Watch App Store, no iMessage App Store. Otherwise, seem to be doing well.

While it's a beta, it's a little bit of a sick joke that there are core functionalities non-functional.

Having same problem. 6s Plus. Tried using 2 different accounts. I typically only use 1 though. We do have family share turned on though.

So I may have had a breakthrough... I have an external management profile that manages some proprietary apps that I use for work, I removed the management profile and could immediately connect to the App Store!

I can connect to any and all app stores now. Man... I’m both excited ... and crushed... ;) cause i need those apps for work... heh. #TheStruggleIsReal

To confirm for anyone else go to:

Settings > General > profiles

And remove any management profiles you may have.

Perhaps there are multiple reasons this is happening, but this is the ‘fix’ for me.

Interesting! But lots of people use iPhones with external management profiles that are required, therefore this is a big bug and needs to be logged.

Interesting. I do also have a device management profile for work apps. I ended up setting up as a new phone and just installing a few of my apps back on, just so I have a working phone until beta 2. I have put the work profile and app back on this clean install and the stores still work. Hmmmm is it worth my wiping and restoring from backup again and trying to remove the profile to see if that fixes it

Hrm. Yeah, that is interesting that your works still after installing the profile back on the fresh install.

That’s what triggered me to remove it, in my iPad that I started fresh, I installed our management profile and immediately the App Store stopped connecting, then removed it, and it came back.

Definitely seems like a bug that should have been caught in alphas either way... IMHO. ;P

Well, well. Removed my mgmt profile and there it is. I almost did that yesterday and thought, nah that can't be it. I can do without for a bit or at worst flip back and forth when needed since it seems to be easy enough to put on and take off.
