Ok, is it universal binary or Intel based would work via Rosetta 2.
Under Rosetta but it runs really great. You need to enroll in the macOS beta program though to install 11.1 because it doesn't work otherwise. With 11.1 macOS has already improved compatibility with many things from what I can see, which is promising re: software compatibility in the future.

The m1 Mac mini is my work/only computer. I will wait for the official 11.1 update. After that I shall be trying this game. I really miss Unreal Tournament and Quake.

Hopper Disassembler is available natively for Apple Silicon / M1: https://www.hopperapp.com

Text Expander has a universal version in their beta channel which you can get by enabling "Include Beta Builds" on the Update panel in Text Expander preferences (but it does require installing the intel version first)

Apart from Apple Mail and Airmail are there any other email clients available in an Apple Silicon version? I normally use Postbox but they have no comment to make on the subject.

Thank you. I found an earlier question about the same thing but I couldn't see how to delete my post, only edit it. I try and avoid Google where possible so I use an IMAP email provider. I checked out Mimestream, but Gmail is all it does, as you say. I'll keep using Apple Mail for now.

I say around the time for the traditional CCS in late January we will hear of many beta apps for the M1 Macs announced around this time! I say we will see virtualization for Windows apps and Windows being stable by May next year!

One thing seems clear to me that only a handful of plugins will be developed for sound apps as many as were during the Intel days! It is well known many of plugins were done on Mac Clones! Most of developers are to cheap even to buy a Mac Mini to developers their plugins but most of then don’t and just used clones over the years!

I'm starting to look at this transition from the other end. On my M1 Mac mini, used as a full-time server, I am down to just 8 apps that remain native to Intel:

Out of those remaining 8 I know work is nearing completion for AdGuard for Safari and CleanMyMac; Plex will take a good while longer, whilst Synology and UniFi have not even replied regarding any effort to transition to Apple Silicon. No idea about the final 3 (Tag Editor, PingPlotter & Harmony Bridge) and only Harmony Bridge is a must-have app for my SOHO network.

I never expected to be down to a small handful of Intel-only apps so soon into the transition.

One thing I noticed on the DTK was that if your existing app was properly coded, it was relatively simple and quick to recompile for the M1. I've read multiple reports from developers talking about how smooth and seamless the conversion process was. Since that gives developers a lower barrier to entry in terms of man-hours and resources required to transition their apps, it speeds up the conversion process. Some apps will take longer simply because of how complex they are to begin with (most Adobe apps, Resolve, etc.), but the vast majority of apps shouldn't

Spark is by far my favorite email client. Works great on M1. I dont care if it is not native.
