[doublepost=1519315884][/doublepost]If anyone that manages this site or utilizes this site has other contacts I can reach out to it would be appreciated. I now know if I send an email to Tim Cook it just gets forwarded to an Executive Liaison like Sam Mann.
That stinks. Time for plan B.

IM SO CONFUSED.
Wasn't a speaker crackling fix already implemented?
Also, why use your phones speaker for blasting music???? say it with me, BT speaker....

Many people responding to test with having the issue.

One person stated they have seen it on 20 iPhones.

My email to EL & Tim tonight.

I’m doing all I can. Send people to the Reddit threads so they can understand issue and how to test.
You rock! Keep us updated! This issue is so frustrating because it’s the only thing hindering the 8 Plus from being the perfect phone!

Agreed.
It also prevents basic use of apps I, and others, have used for years.. including apps PROMOTED by Apple.

The engineers kept trying to screw with me forcing the non-native app aspect. I responded that there is unlikely to be ONE person who doesn’t use non-native apps and Apple makes BILLIONS off the App Store.

If I can get a good number of documented devices I may be able to get a quick spot on local TV. We know a cameraman. It’s a long shot but I’m working.

Just as I thought, many people affected. Getting very interesting public, and private, responses.
[doublepost=1519362218][/doublepost]Reached out to a friend who grew a tech blog from nothing to one of the top mobile device websites. Not sure if he’s interested. He knows my background though.

just curious, what do you expect to happen? they magically thank you and change some production process? lol. if you can only replicate the issue on a certain app, then just don't use that app! lol this is ridiculous.

Their position? Which is not fixing the issue whatsoever??
That’s utter BS.
I don’t think the 7 has this problem to the same scale.
My iPad Pro 9.7, which has a way louder speaker, doesn’t have this issue.
For the x, there are ones with it 100% of the time and 40% of the time. So others being able to reproduce it doesn’t prove theirs is as bad as yours.
[doublepost=1519364368][/doublepost]Definitely try your state and local consumer protection agencies. Try writing to the FTC with all the evidence you have.

It occurs in native apps.
It gets worse over time.
Apple has acknowledged this to me.
Apple acknowledged they’re working on a solution.

but they did not give you an ETA and it's already been five months. Doesn't sound promising to me..
They might work out a solution in September... which is 6 months from now.

So he shouldnt use native apple apps? Apples wrong here b

Exactly!

Nail on the head.

Apple has acknowledged that its an issue.
I can’t use apps that I’ve used for years without constant clippping.
The clipping has moved to non-native apps I use frequently.

Apple has my $ and I have a phone that, after 5 months, still has the issue that Apple says isn’t normal and is an issue.
[doublepost=1519392592][/doublepost]It cannot be understated that Apple openly says replacing the phone is futile as the replacement is likely to have to have same issue.

I expect Apple to have a support solution in place for people with the issue. I have told Apple that was my goal the whole time.

If you have this issue and you go to an Apple Store or call Apple Support, I would like Apple to have a solution to offer you. It might be try a replacement. It might be move to a non-affected phone (if that exists..) or it might be to offer you a refund if they cannot resolve it.

My mistake was trying to work with Apple. I should have just returned the phone after seeing that every replacement would have the issue and moved on to a different device. My mistake was hoping that I could help others with this issue besides myself.
[doublepost=1519395106][/doublepost]If you haven't been.. https://www.reddit.com/r/iphone/comments/7zhs5c/issue_with_new_iphones_please_sharetest_apple/

It could use some action.. good bit yesterday but I am sure Apple is fine if it dies off.

The one in the Apple section of Reddit is not allowed to have any Upvotes. I am not sure if that is normal.

As for damaging the speakers, if they start buzzing or whatnot and speakers are damaged they’ll probably repair or replace.
My iPad Pro 9.7 running iOS 11.3 does not have this issue at all. It has a slower processor and a lower speaker and it doesn’t have this issue at all. That’s why I doubt if it’s software. I really don’t think it can be software given all the details so far.
The same supplier was likely used for the iPhone 7 but on an extremely small scale. I mean so far I have no definitive answer either but the thing is Apple won’t do anything to fix this!!!!

No more paper trail from Apple, per Apple.
Hey what’s apple’s executive response? ETA? Reason it’s happening? Any of that?

Apple is done with me.
Apple will not be addressing this issue and a refund to me would be admitting guilt at this point apparently.

I can keep bringing it to light or I can just sell/keep the phone and move on.
[doublepost=1519408189][/doublepost]I have reached out to an editor here and have-not heard back. In fairness, it was late last night.
TBH, I have little faith that Apple, or anyone else, will shine any light on this.

What do you mean by apples done with you?
[doublepost=1519408280][/doublepost]What about their engineering team and executive liaison? I mean it’s been five months they should at least do something.
Did they only tell you they’re aware of the issue n nothing else?

I have made it to the highest level of support at Apple.

I have provided all the examples and logs they have requested.

They have admitted to the issue (to me), admitted there is no solution, nor any timeframe for a solution.

They have denied three requests for refund.

They have told me they will no longer be corresponding with me via email.
