but they did not give you an ETA and it's already been five months. Doesn't sound promising to me..
They might work out a solution in September... which is 6 months from now.
Exactly!
Nail on the head.
Apple has acknowledged that its an issue.
I can’t use apps that I’ve used for years without constant clippping.
The clipping has moved to non-native apps I use frequently.
Apple has my $ and I have a phone that, after 5 months, still has the issue that Apple says isn’t normal and is an issue.
[doublepost=1519392592][/doublepost]It cannot be understated that Apple openly says replacing the phone is futile as the replacement is likely to have to have same issue.

just curious, what do you expect to happen? they magically thank you and change some production process? lol. if you can only replicate the issue on a certain app, then just don't use that app! lol this is ridiculous.
I expect Apple to have a support solution in place for people with the issue. I have told Apple that was my goal the whole time.
If you have this issue and you go to an Apple Store or call Apple Support, I would like Apple to have a solution to offer you. It might be try a replacement. It might be move to a non-affected phone (if that exists..) or it might be to offer you a refund if they cannot resolve it.
My mistake was trying to work with Apple. I should have just returned the phone after seeing that every replacement would have the issue and moved on to a different device. My mistake was hoping that I could help others with this issue besides myself.

It could use some action.. good bit yesterday but I am sure Apple is fine if it dies off.
The one in the Apple section of Reddit is not allowed to have any Upvotes. I am not sure if that is normal.
