iPhone 8/Plus Update on Speaker Clipping Issue

I used to live in Long Beach. A friend sending me this hat.
Native isn’t as glaring as there are few instances where the audio (primary & secondary) are as bad. However, I’ve had it typing a note while on speakerphone, play a soft song in Music and then scroll Twitter timeline. Sometimes Live Photo’s will have a wicked clip.

Update: My iPhone X does it also but, only using Night Sky. Are you sure it isn’t an app specific issue? I’ve never heard this before on my phone until I used Night Sky.. I tried every app I have on my phone at all different volume levels and can’t reproduce it. I would think if it was a hardware issue with the speaker it would do it all the time
Try playing soft music and scrolling Twitter. It’s not isolated to non-native apps. I’ve been testing this with Apple for 5 months. They know.

Sky Guide & Sudoku Master Edition are other examples. I’ve contacted those developers and the ones that responded said it isn’t their app.
Just typing with music playing in the background causes the clipping issue.
I just checked my backup 6S and it does it too.. I’m starting to think it’s the app causing the issue whether the developer admits it or not. No complaints of crackling has been discussed until recently and if it affects phones going back to at least the 6S and 7 it seems unlikely people wouldn’t of been complaining about it on the forums.. Maybe people with phones older than 6S can test to see if their phones have the crackling..

I don’t think it’s the app. I now have a list of almost 10 apps that do it not counting native apps.

I have also reached out to several app developers and they say it’s 100% not them.
Thing about developers, unless they get a crap load of complaints they won’t do much especially if it a free app. Just curious, how often is Night Sky updated? Reason I ask is I use Sky Chart and I can’t remember when they last had an update. They haven’t even optimized the app for the X yet...
Sky Guide and Night Sky are both Apple-promoted apps. PCalc is pretty big. Sudoku Master Edition not so much. Got a message that Carcassone, Monopoly and Day of the Tentacle also affected.

100% wrong.
Apple admits it’s them, not apps.
Now the cracking sounds even happens when i hit receive phone calls button. That ****ing sounds crack the rings tone. And when i go into the setting, try to adjusting the sounds bar and hit the home button right after. ITS CRACK AGAIN. GOSH
I also have had to deal with the ear speaker distorted and it drives me crazy! I am paying way too much money for this phone and I am very disappointed in the apple product and company. This is my first and last time I buy anything from apple. If anyone is going to be suing them, please make it public for the others that are going through the same thing and then we will definitely win! Thank you
get it replaced. Plenty of us haven't had issues. get yourself a working phone
