...umm both of my complaints happened to me yesterday on an up to date version of iOS. Neither issues were with the dataset but rather that the mapping algorithms did nonsensical things with that data.
I mean if this “new apple maps” thread isn’t meant for discussing the current state of apple maps i guess I’ll go elsewhere, but there’s no reason to be derogatory.
But it’s not “new” in your area...I’m assuming...are you in NorCal?
Sorry...but so many complain without stating that all map apps fail on occasion.
I can tell you, from someone that travels all over the US every week practically, that Maps is WAY better than it was. I’ve given up on Waze other than long road trips simply because I drive fast and want to know where cops are. Google is the the best from a POI perspective and still is (for now).
But I typically run all three or at least Maps and Google to compare and have issues with both. Google has actually given me illegal routing info more than any other app (illegal turns almost every instance).
