So many of you coming from the 6S. That model number still strikes fear in my heart. I had major battery problems with that one.
My 6S was OK for the first few years but really needed a replacement battery - however I just kept charging more frequently until I traded it in. Often twice a day.

13 pro in silver to 15 pm in tit blue. Looking forward to bigger screen, better battery (mine is on 77 per cent capacity) and larger screen and newer camera features. I’ve wanted a larger screen since the 6 but never went for it till now. Husband is getting 15 pro in tit black from 13 pro sierra blue. He isn’t bothered by a bigger screen

14 Pro to 15 Pro Max. I don’t care for the larger phone, getting for the telephoto and (to a lesser degree) the battery, both of which would’ve been handy for my vacation I just returned from the day of the keynote.

My 14 Pro will go to my dad, his 13 Pro (which used to be mine) will go to another family member, and I’m trading in an iPhone 11.

Mine kept doing the thing where it would completely shut off at 30% and that was before Apple had publicly admitted it was a widespread issue with the 6S.

I am upgrading from an 11 Pro to the 15 Pro. I hate big phones so the max is a no go. The 120mm tele camera is still too short for birds so I do not miss it. The 3x zoom on the max will be all digital, which will ruin image quality so I am happy with the 15 Pros 3x tele :)

iPhone 12 Pro to iPhone 15 Pro.
I planned to get the 14 Pro last year, but decided to skip it.
Same with the 13 Pro the year before.
But this year, I pre-ordered it right away, even though the 12 Pro is still chugging along fine.

12 Pro 512gb to 15 Pro 256gb.

I haven’t followed the intermediate releases, but the iPhone 15 pro main lens (f1.78 v f1.6) and telephoto lens (f2.8 v f2.0) are slower than the 12 pro. Hope this isn’t too much of a downgrade.

Tunne, please explain! This is new information for me.

I'm upgrading my iPhone Xs Max 256GB in gold (purchased on launch day 2018) to the iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB in Titanium Blue. I didn't need a new iPhone, but I wanted a better camera.

When I make the jump, it’ll be XR to 15 or 15 Pro. I thought I’d go Pro thinking Titanium would be lighter in weight, but apparently (surprisingly) that’s not the case.

Kinda glad to see 2, 3 or later upgraders. No right or wrong way and spend your money however you want. Apple in past was just just banking on upgrades every year. We are still at their mercy for whatever they feel like doing but think Apple is definitely aware. Has had some good and bad with their release decisions on all products.

Mine did too, but Apple did a recall and swapped my battery for free. I never had the issue after that.

Apple has never banked on yearly upgrades, and the majority has never yearly upgraded. It used to be two years, now the average is closer to three.

Was your XR pretty slow and lagging by this point? Just curious.
I am rocking an almost 5 years old XR with no intention of upgrading anytime soon. Still buttery smooth. Apps do reload quite often and battery life is not what it used to be, but I might get a new battery installed.
