Wow at least you were able to change it back! I've been on the phone a few times with UPS and chatting with Apple and they're just blaming me for changing the delivery and saying it can't be changed at all and that I'll have to wait until Monday now. This is so frustrating.

Edit: I found a phone number to my local UPS hub. I explained the situation and asked if they had my package there by any chance so that I could go pick it up right now. The lady on the phone was super nice and she said that the packages had not arrived at the hub yet so no use going tonight. And because I changed to hold for pickup, it would be Monday before I could come pick it up. BUT she said she'll leave a note for the person coming in tomorrow to put my package in the truck for delivery, though she said it might not work. And she said she'll try to cancel my request to change delivery. UGH I WISH I HADN'T CHANGED THE DELIVERY OPTION. If UPS hadn't said I could pick it up today I would never have changed it :(



I just got bumped to Monday as well and phone is showing a second import scan in KY as of 9/17, 12:08 am. UPS lady lied or was misinformed when she said its sitting here at the hub on a palette...

Ups left my package at someone else's door and backed into my apartment building on their way out... stressful day at ups.

They can't even find my package now. I am BEYOND PISSED OFF. **** UPS. It stopped showing movement, so I called them and then they said we don't know!!! What the ****?

UPS sent my phone to a completely different city, called them to see what the hell was going on, they guaranteed it would be delivered to my address by end of day today. Called them at the end of the day and they're like they took the package of the truck and didn't even bother to deliver, sorry, we'lol try on Monday. Wtf?

I don't "like" that they misdelivered your phone, but the image of them smacking the building with the truck on their way out did make me chuckle a bit after the runaround they put me through today. :D

Ugh yeah it's showing confirmed delivery on Monday :( I think our phones are on the same plane

Looks like :(. If UPS wanted to they probably could get them out for delivery tomorrow. I've seen plenty of my packages arrive at the hub overnight and then be out for delivery a couple of hours later. Don't know what happened to that Saturday delivery...
 
UPS are quite the thugs, aren't they? How dare they delay all your packages, everyone. One should clearly write an incredibly stern letter to their North America Operations Center's chief and complain of the current outrage! Down with the Brown Trucks, I say! Who do these fools think we are? Commoners?! The cosmopolites are the ones to blame here, I tell you all now. How dare they not work around the clock to deliver your packages first! Those special packages containing your lovely new iPhone 7 device. They can deliver the common folks' packages last, as it should have been. Savages!
 
Pretty sure most of these lazy a$$ drivers around San Francisco didn't bother delivering iPhone's today. They either slapped a note on doors and took off or didn't even bother with notes at all and put down that nobody was home. Then we either had to wait until Monday or go to the local UPS pick-up station at night and wait in line. UPS blows!
 
Anyone here in Arizona having trouble with UPS? Mine came to Phoenix, where I live!, and then went to Tucson and UPS put "we incorrectly shipped your package to the wrong facility, your package will be delayed by one business day"

A friend of mine has his stick in Louisville!

And my girlfriends phone says 9/17 for no reason at all!

You'll be fine. Go relax and enjoy life.
 
Be glad they didn't steal your iPhone. I know people who have had their smartphones stolen through UPS.
 
I work in logistics and freight. I also have things delivered very frequently.

All I can say is, I try not to use UPS. Some of my favorite drivers have been UPS, but the logistics are BS.

Package damage is almost never the driver. Be nice.
 
just spoke to UPS and they confirmed that the people last night lied to me on two separate phone calls regarding my sketchy delivery status, that my phone was never going to be delivered last night and that I always should have been told that it was going to be bumped to Monday. That's what angers me. Not the fact that they get overwhelmed and couldn't hold up their end of the deal by the date that they should have; things happen. TYPHOONS happen. By don't effing LIE to me just to get me off of your freaking phone.

Mine lied straight to my ear. They told me not to worry about it, and pretty much waited too long to get to a supervisor who could have solved the problem.

Mine didn't even come from China, it was already in the US, and came here. But went totally to the wrong city afterwards and they didn't want to do anything to fix it. Now they say they don't know where it is. Now it still says delivery date unavailable and I got NOTHING on when I'll get my phone. I'm livid.
 
Here's what I got from UPS, which reflects what I was told on the phone last night, except the phone call promised Saturday delivery. I was told last night that my local hub closes at 1pm, so if I don't see anything by noon, I should call customer service.

BTW, I don't see that 4:33am scan when I use my tracking number. If it left DFW at that time, it'd make sense that it didn't reach my local hub in time.

I used DHL once and I sent my package to Canada. Instead it went to Saint Petersburg, Russia. I called them right away when I saw the mistake in the tracking system (10 hours after I dropped the package), they promised to fix it. No way they sent it to Russia, where delivery guy wrote on the package in Russian that it was a wrong address , activated return to me , I called them again and they re-routed it to Toronto. It was 3-4 days left and I got a refund.

What I really hate about UPS that they leave packages under the rain on my driveway.
 
Update on my situation: My tracking JUST updated at almost 8 PDT this morning. Looks like the UPS guy that told me over the phone it was at the hub yesterday was telling me the truth. They just hadn't scanned it yet. It's been scanned now and has a updated delivery day of Monday. Although I'm hoping they would deliver it today. Either way I'm just glad I finally have an update on what's going on. I hope the rest of you also get some updates soon!

Edit: It was delivered around 11:30 this morning! I was told they are making it a point to deliver iPhones that weren't delivered launch day due to mishaps. Tracking still said Monday when it was delivered but when I got the package it had a bright orange "Saturday Delivery" sticker on it.

Just opened an investigation with Apple. They're mailing a replacement and said that UPS can still deliver the original package, if they ever find it.

In fact, the Apple rep was the one that advised opening an investigation since I'm past my delivery date.

UPS has been unhelpful after calling and emailing today. They're unsure of the physical location of the package. They've told me "logically" the UPS system says there was a scan at the hub 3 hrs away on yesterday. They then proceeded to tell me "maybe Monday" after previously telling me "for sure Saturday". They've also said the device may have been delayed coming in to the US, even though I can see that wasn't the case based on the tracking history.
