In my experience they will ship over the weekend and you will be able t track it boy reference number on UPS. Apple wont update their website until the phone hits the United States if that is where you live. I always find it on UPS before Apple ever says it shipped.
 
Ordered my iPhone 13 Pro Max 256gb Sierra Blue this morning on T-Mobile at 9:30am EST.

First time buying an iPhone since the 4S after 8 years of Android use. (Excluding a used 7 Plus I used for about a month then sold after not liking it.) Apple finally added 120hz which has made me make the switch. All they need now is no notch, USB-C, and finger print and it will nearly be the perfect hardware! Hopefully those 3 things come next year.

Anyways I just went back to my old emails and saw the LG V30 I ordered from T-Mobile in 2017 had Next Day Air included for free! Then the S10 Plus and S10e I ordered in 2019 had Express shipping (2-3 day) free!

But I noticed when I ordered this morning that T-Mobile will only do Ground shipping for free. Thats crazy they won't even do Express shipping for free anymore. Clearly T-Mobile trying to increase their profit and make the buyer pay more. So I had to pay $25 for Overnight shipping since estimated SHIPPING was Sept 28th to Oct 5th, and I leave Oct 2nd for a 6 day vacation.

I also just talked to a T-Mobile Rep and asked why AT&T and Verizon at 9am EST and even still at 3pm they showed DELIVERED BY Sept 24th for most all colors and most storage options of 13 Pro's and T-Mobile had most of their phones listed for SHIPPED Sept 28th - Oct 5th. Thats basically a 2 week difference. That is a huge difference!!

He said he believes from experience T-Mobile purposely over estimates shipping date to create a greater surprise when most of them will ship before that date. He thought despite those dates I'd still likely get mine delivered even before those ship dates since I ordered so early.

So just that little piece of info for anyone that ordered from T-Mobile.

Well damn. Today was my turn for a never ending series of failures trying to get my pre-order through. I guess I am paying for the last 3 years of everything working fine and getting the iPhone delivered on launch date. Today, I was in the store on my iPhone with my "ready to go" pre-order 1 minute past 5AM and spent the next 45 minutes being tortured that my Apple Card data was incorrect, the one or two times it made it past that the Citizen's one loan was denied and they will be sending me a letter even though the pre-order was supposed to take care of all that.

I had appointments to attend to and did not get back to try again for about 2 hours, same crap, your Apple Card info is wrong. I changed the MOP to a different card, still your credit card information is wrong. Finally called GS Apple and they said, as I knew, nothing wrong with my Apple card just too many people crashed the auth system. By this time 6 or 7 hours after I first started the ship date was now October 18TH!!!!FML. Tried a few more times with the pain of cutting and pasting my Apple card information, CVV, expiry date and all that still no go. Finally at 12:08 it went right through, shipping 18-25Oct. 7 hours to get it ordered to be shipped in about a month. Not happy with you Apple.

On the other hand I have my pretty new nice smelling leather Apple Pro Max case sitting on my desk as it arrived today...

Well that stinks sorry for all your trouble. I had the pre-preapproval set up even taking and verifying my card I was using as usual. But when opening arrived it took 5 minutes before my applestore app opened on my iphone (ipad took 4 minutes and I was done ordering by then, macbook safari never opened was still almost there even with constant refreshing just to see.) So as always it wanted me to verify the card I had on file with my Apple Pay and ID. I had it ready this year (should have typed it in to ready for copy and paste but did not) so it took me almost another minute to get info in and finnish order and by that time my 1TB graphite 13 ProMax slipped from September 24 to October 6-11 all in one minute? That also stinks and I had it all setup so for a number of us who had a smooth order still no luck it is always 5-10 minutes late opening here in central Illlinois I guess the server que for us stinks or something.

Now I have to adjust my October schedule which was busy to plan on me or my wife being around to receive the phone so even this second grouping is a pain for me. But spending 7 hours that is not good apple you were really screwed
 
My in-store pickup for launch day is still showing “order placed” and there is no transaction on my card showing…is that normal?

I ask because I had to switch from my Apple Card to this card since the Apple Card kept failing this morning.
 
It does. It doesn’t feel loose. The power and volume buttons work, but the mute switch is a little off. A little below the opening; about 1/4” of it is covered.
aah. okay thanks for letting me know. can you share picture somehow?
 
There’s people on twitter saying that there’s is preparing to ship but it looks like they are in Europe or something because the date is backwards for an American

I feel like last year some of those extended shipping dates were not as bad as they quoted at time of ordering? Hopefully that is the case this year. Underpromise, overdeliver 😉
 
I ordered right away this morning, at 8:03am EDT, and have a delivery date if 9/24. Order is still in process. Does anyone still have this status or has it moved.
Still in process. I ordered 8.02 ( because 8.01 was blocked ). Around 2 pm they charged me. 😅. So we have to wait next step. Maybe in the weekend

Anyone with in store pickup still on "Order Placed" and not "Processing"? I had to cancel a previous ship-to-home order that went to Processing almost immediately. Anyone else seeing the same?

Mine is still at Order Placed.

Someone with experience can chime in, but I feel the in-store pickups will be handled in the same manner as any other normal store pickup order. The card won't get charged until your order is actually being processed, in this case meaning being prepared in the back of the store. The store actually has to get their inventory before they can do any back room prepping. I can be wrong, but I'll be surprised if we're not charged until early next week.

Yes that also happens but it is so much nicer to get on that opening Friday any other day and I have all kinds of stuff to do (and am retired to boot LOL). The next week is bad for me if it comes say a week later after opening day (October 1st). I assume my wife can be here and get it on October 1 if that happens I will not be home. I hate to say it but this time I would rather it sticks to the first part of that date range especially 7 and 8 (Thursday and Friday) She will have to wait again after lunch on 6th as i have to pick up grandson at school Opening day just has so many less complications for me LOL

And to the extreme fanboys... I've tried Apple's clear case, and at $40 it is garbage compared to the ~$10 chinese ones. Apple's is more expensive, offers less protection, and gets covered with lint and whatnot.

I know. I’m in the same both. But one week is nothing to compare customers have to wait untill end of October 🙏😅

Thank you for the Quick answer. may I ask did you get a new phone and if so which one? do you recommend any cases/ screen protectors I know the phone has not come out yet but I heard that the 13 and 12 cases are going to be basically the same in design?
 
crazy, shipping times slipped to October. But you can do in store pickup for Friday 24th for the same model. Why does no one like going in?!
 
I wanted to get the 13 pro max but I didn't wait until October. The dates were October 18-28, so I just went with the 256G Blue 13 Pro for pickup at the local Apple store on September 24th.

i got the silicone Apple case for first time last year. its chipped and broken off on the corners. My Amazon cheapos never did that...

Friday 24th the shops will get only few iPhone. ( usually 10 pieces) you should woke up early and go in line 3/4 hours before shop open ( I did one time ) 😀

Once our orders move to processing we should start seeing some movement to 'preparing for shipment' over the weekend.

Once this happens you should be able to get details on your phone and let the tracking begin!



Here are some notes to help track orders:



If your phone status has changed to "Shipped", you can view the invoice on the Apple site.

That invoice has the serial number on it.



Go to Apple.com, then pick the ORDERS page (the little "shopping bag" icon at the far right on the home page... go to your orders page). Now, log in, and find your iPhone order... and click on Print All Invoices to see your shiny new iPhone serial number.

You can look up the week of manufacture and factory here, using the serial number:

Another way to find it, enter your phone number + zip:




If your phone number isn’t working for UPS tracking, use your order number but subtract the last two numbers/letters. Say your order number is: W123456789, you'd put in: W1234567 - make sure to use the tracking by reference feature.



Flight info:



When you see the time that your flight leaves China (make sure that the UPS or FedEx info is showing it per China time, or do the math), and you can usually narrow it down

For those of you that are not familiar with doing this here's how you can check your order.

Go to UPS's website. Go to tracking. Go to track by reference number. Put the cell phone number associated with your order in as the reference number. Put your ZIP Code. Put your country. Hit track package button. If your phone has shipped it'll come up on UPS's website.
