Thanks I thought so. That has been my experience also. My neighbor uses me for his liquor shipping when he is at work sometimes LOL So he even changes address but I doubt you can do that with iPhone as it seems it has to come to billing/phone account address or something?
Consider yourself lucky. I honestly find going to the Apple Store a PUTA. “U” for up.

Why is that? I hate masks as much as next guy and I am vaccinated with two Moderna shots. Got a July Delta “booster” headcold/body ache breakthrough (which can happen with vaccines but since I am 71 but beats hospitalization and possible death LOL). I hate the masks because I have broken diviated septum (from childhood foolishness LOL) and am mouth breather and masks are a pain. But If there were apple store in my town (University of Illinois and all) it would be dangerous for my budget LOL
The masks thing isn’t my problem. I just say it is when it’s convenient for me lol. I just don’t like being around a ton of people waiting in a pickup line to be attended to. A bunch of chatter around me gives me anxiety.
Apple stores can sure get busy on launch pickup! Not like it used to be with 11 hour lines, but still pretty busy!
For those wondering, you can also bring your trade in in at your Apple Store if you prefer to do that over mailing it out.
I was a victim of that Apple Card glitch yesterday as well. After getting booted out for trying to paste and complete the CC info too many times, I switched CCs and made it happen. Happy to still have a launch day phone coming. I just messaged w/ Goldman Sachs Apple Card service - and if this happened to you, they advised me to let you all know - you should also register a complaint. GS say they will e-mail me and provide me a way to still get the 3% Daily Cash back.
Ah I see thats fair. I hate standing in long lines for about anything although it is not the ton of people or chatter that bothers me as much as I am impatient in any kind of line ;-) I have a good friend with PSTD he got from service in Afghanistan who also gets anxiety from crowds. Not fun.

My mom was visiting last night and one of the topics was that her XR was showing age and she’d love a new phone sometime. I threw out the idea that she should trade in since the promos are so hot right now.
she’s trading in on ATT for a 13 Pro 128GB for like $5 a month for 36 months. That’s barely $200 for the new phone! She likes to hold onto phones as long as possible so she’s fine with the 36 month lock-in. Also, ATT surprisingly still had stock, it’s arriving on Friday.

Unlocked full price iPhones bought through apple don’t get locked even if I use att sim first?

Same here. Can’t miss obsessively reading the forums the week between pre-order and launch! Our UPS driver gets here so late sometimes and I didn’t want to sit around all day waiting. Pickup my mini and 13PM at 10:30am 😍I know! I was just so excited when I saw the option to select in-store pickup that I immediately went for it 😂. I may not be able to track the shipment with everyone and will miss my seat mates, but I’ll still be around for the ride.

I did the pre-ordered on Thursday and then on Friday I did the checkout with no problem with my Apple Card :$

only those who are in IUP experienced the issue. I also used my Apple Card with no issue at all and I did the apple installment plan. Received email confirmation at exactly 7:00AM.
