Wow. Is that your travel essentials for the journey to the Apple Store ?

She must live far away from the Apple store.
THAT was my support for the UPS crew!!

Store Pickup Crew will be traveling light for our (short) road trip!

And I live 10 minutes away! 😳

Let me have my fun! 😂😂

My days are often spent in my plant room with my haworthia. Later today I’ll be spending a couple hours watering. Sometime today I need to go buy my husband a new computer monitor because his died last night, I bet he will be wanting me to do that first lol.
Yes, in store pick up on the 24th

If I remember correctly they normally spend the time from pre-order until delivery talking about their contracts and trying to get money off them well they did last year which was good because it saved me like 50% on my bill thanks to various discounts and credits and made the EE sim only plans slightly more reasonable. I’m normally in the UK thread but not this year since I’m temporarily stateside so joining y’all
^this.
Much more variation of how one can buy an iPhone in the UK since phones mostly from carriers are also subsidized I recall. So one could effectively choose a subsidy route with a good deal which includes line rental for 2 years. Example they pay small upfront cost sometimes then a reoccurring monthly charge for cost of voice data and iPhone for a certain duration of the contract.

All phones are unlocked if you buy them at Apple even if you attach them to a specific carrier except for IPhones attached to AT&T. With knowing this, I did the same as you
Yeah but I was unsure, if they are using esim.. do all phones from Apple get built the same then, and all have all the esim tech in there, … I guess my thing was I didn’t want the possibility of a glitch because I’m on sprint technically, then have the phone come attached to T-Mobile (which I might not stay with..that was a decision to come this week). LOL it was just such a mess in my head I decided to get the phone sim free and then one step at a time

Then go through customs at your home airport and anchorage which I don’t get why there’s 2 customs stops
China - CGO to Alaska - PANC: Plane stops to re-fuel while the imports are getting custom clearance. Once that process gets finished. It proceed towards Alaska- PANC to Kentucky - SDF. From SDF, it goes through a final custom clearance heading towards the final destination.

Maybe the border patrol custom requires to get international clearance (since it’s coming from China) and national clearance (since it’s traveling toward nationwide states to states).

I feel like there should be pinned posts that explain most of the process until the phones get here…same questions get asked over and over

Also, U.S. Customs and Border Protection goes through a intensive checklist. It’s all in here. Keep in mind they are dealing with 💵 billion dollars worth of imported goods. No mistakes need to be made. There are no margin for errors.

You can put inside your own nano-sim from iPhone 12 To make it work right?
