So I slept through the pre-ordering opening time this morning, and delivery is now mid-October. However I can pick up at the Apple store on the 24th Sept.
Question for someone who has done this pickup before: is it going to be a zoo with long lines on the 24th? Can I pickup later the following week, or do I have to pick up on the 24th?

Collecting my 12 was a case of going at my time slot and no sooner. I did however arrive 10 mins early and took a chance and they had a no show so they let me in

Is anyone still processing? I'm in the East coast ordered right when they were available but it still says processing is that normal?

If you paid in full, the phones will not be locked and you can easily connect to T-Mobile via eSIM or use a physical card.

I didn't pay in full, I got that message when going through the iPhone Upgrade Program.

It seems to me that devices ordered through IUP are unlocked and can be used on any carrier, regardless of the one you chose during preorder/etc?

I got the 512 Gb and downsized from 12 Pro Max (gold) to Sierra blue 13 Pro. I decided to stay at 512 GB because I haven’t even come close to using the 512 GB on my 12 Pro Max.

@GrumpyMom

Some time during the last 12 hours my order changed from processing to “preparing to ship”.

Oh nice! Congratulations. Your status was updated couple hours ago then :)
