Nice! So just wondering in the past have they ever been delivered before the release day?
They have.. happened with iPhone 4 or 4s but Apple put a strict restrictions on it. It’s prohibited now.

No one is getting their iPhone a day early Australia 🇦🇺 will get the iPhones first on time.

I’m starting to get pissed now, been preparing to ship, ordered 6 minutes after preorder time and using track by reference I can see what I assume is the is the phone and apple has shown delivery by Friday. Wish UPS would help but they can’t do anything without a full tracking number which I need. Sucks my choice has been useless I’ve even tried to make sure everything on my address checks out. Wish check by reference wasn’t useless.

No need to get pissed. As long as Apple has you scheduled to get your phone by the 24th, it will happen. There have been years that UPS never updated their site and still the phone was delivered on the promised date. Also, it can take a few days for UPS to update its system.

exactly, it doesn’t have to move in China for days. it can’t go all at once. If you took 6 minutes that’s great but it took me 2 to get thru. So you are in the queue and it will go thru. Heck you may get it before me! Mine will be buried in Kentucky longer than yours. Mine will be buried but from experience it will almost always get here.

Yes I’m having similar thoughts. There seems to be no advantage to the program anymore, in fact this year it was a clear disadvantage. The first year of the program there was no preregistration, so by the time you finished paperwork shipping dates had already slipped. Apple tried to help later but it led to preregistration which became an advantage until this year.

But now there is no advantage to the program, just commitment to Apple with no return commitment from Apple.
You like many others it seems just had a bad experience this year with the program. This is my 3rd year with the program and it went as smooth as usual even with Apple Card. Was able to pre-pre order and 5 or so minutes after they started on Friday I was able to checkout with presaged info no issues, maybe it’s cause I had card info saved in app and didn’t use Apple Pay, but so strange that some had an issue or others like me experienced no problems. Didn’t know about people having the issue until after my order, so good luck to those who got delayed dates, maybe you’ll get lucky and they get bumped to earlier timeframe!

Exactly my experience coupled with here in central Illinois getting in to the preorder was allways a pain and I never got in earlier than 5-10 minutes or more so that even with preapproval and long term IUP membership about 2/3s of the time so I found the preregistration not much of an advantage here. Not sure if the servers here in Illinois just were always delayed compared to yours but too many times it still did not gain me opening day. Also it is getting to the point that my promax’s and especially this years second round 5G improvements (the Qualcomm chip was much better in my weak cell tower in my 12 ProMax) and cameras are getting such that I could wait and do every 2 years. We shall see just what improvements they make over my 13 ProMax next year but if they are not major I might just wait for the 15, have not done this yet they got me one more time.

@FlightLevel310 The flight landed almost 4 hours ago in Luxembourg. Any idea where this Cargo plane is at? Or has it made its way to China already?

It actually took me like 2 minutes if not less to checkout the app made me wait 5 minutes before I could get to the store screen. But I got lucky I guess not everyone had a smooth checkout experience.

Problem for me (not Apple Card user) is I used the same preapproval process verifying my same card info in that process that is in my account (card number and security number) and as always in the checkout it had the opening day but the store wanted my card info and security code one more time. (Jumping me to my account payment info like in the preapproval process). That took less than a minute but nearly so and at that point times had slipped to 10/6 to 10/11. This has been a common experience and why do they bother with preapproval and card info and then making be do it again to finalize the order when they already had that information??? This has been normal and cost me over half the time in these preorders making me wonder why I bother.

I’ve had no such issues in IL with servers ever for any preorder. Always got launch day delivery except that this year I opted for in-store launch day pickup.

Interesting. Took me til 5 past to get in, another minute to re-enter my card info I had verified in preapproval process 3 days before. And then done so took minute less but my graphite 1TB ProMax was already slipped in that minute from 9/24 to the 10/6 to 10/11 date for arrival. I suppose I selected the wrong color which they made less of from what I see in my little poll that lots of folks were able to score the sierra blue than graphite. But as a regular IUP customer who used the preapproval process I would think that apple could setup a reservation for that up to 3 day window after preorder for my preferred model as a regular IUP customer but guess it is not in apples interest to do that. So hence my thinking that with the 13 this could finally be my last IUP order. We shall see I suppose the 14 will come with so many features I will fall for this one more time LOL

Same for my family, all of us ordering our own using Apple Card/Apple pay. Last year we had the experience from hell. It was so frustrating-my husband and I were all bitchy with each other. Finally had to remind ourselves that these are not even bad first world problems to have.

I still wanted to punch a wall though. Or junk-punch Tim Apple. 😂

Interesting well I am 130 miles from nearest store (Chicago ) in east central Illinois. In my neighborhood my cell is weak but I get ok reception outside with the new Qualcomm 5G chips 1-2 bars occasionally 3, but 1 bar in house. My WiFI is Comcrap (er Comcast). We are in lower income neighborhood and none of the fiber optic folks want to touch us so I am limited in my provider service maybe it is issue with Comcast??? Maybe I should sit outside with my new phones and order if weather allows LOL

Anyone here order from AT&T or anywhere else that isn't Apple? I know the thread says Apple, but I couldn't find a thread for the US that fits what I ordered any better than this.

I ordered the iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB Gold on 9/17 at 2:20pm

Status says expected to ship 9/23 with Delivery by 9/24.
I think this thread is for AT&T pre-order.

This is just for reference people.

National Cargo 567 Jumbo Flight is showing up now. Expecting to depart in 2 hours. ***DELAYED***

National Cargo 567 has been registered by DOA and just showed up in FlightAware. This is not going to be our flight however highly expecting Cargolux to show up in FlightAware. As long it gets approved by DOA. Departing from Zhengzhou, China to Anchorage, Alaska.

Expect Cargolux to show up shortly once it gets its final approval from DOA.

From all this researching, I found out just recently that for the entire country of China that basically spans across the size of the US, there's only 1 timezone! Crazy.🤯

I don't quite know the exact stats - what is selling more (Pro or Pro Max) It does seem, in the Philly area at least you can grab a 13 Pro on Friday as of right now.

The Pro Max is a bit harder, Sierra or Graphite especially.

I was just checking here in Chicago and you can get the Pro at some of the stores here. Pro Max is definitely harder. I think the inventory is shifting somewhat, but it's there right now.

Yeah the pre-approval process helped me otherwise I’d have to add more info to simply click checkout but getting into the store took longer than I’d want. But I guess they had more than enough 256GB units available I heard 1TB and to a lesser extent 512GB being less available this year due to apple I assume perceiving demand for each storage tier. You’d think they would make more of the more popular neutral colors and I’d assume gold would be less popular and Sierra Blue being the big color this year.

Don’t worry I’m in the same boat. I ordered my phone 8.02 Friday (8.01 it was still down the website). But so far my status is preparing to shin. Apple told me could be like that until tomorrow evening…the phones must arrive Friday NOT BEFORE UPS will hold them…..so we have to wait
