OK I just got the new Apple case but found this one on Amazon so ordered it.
What do you think, it will be here tomorrow.

Thank you! also are those your pups in your avi? They are beautiful!!
Thank you! They were, sadly, from years ago. Then I had 2 rough collies, who both also had long lives and left me in the last few years. Currently pup-less, living vicariously through everyone else’s puppy pictures. Hopefully not for much longer.

I sent an email to Tim Cook expressing my disappointment and the struggles with using an Apple Card when using the iPhone Upgrade Program.

I received a phone call from an Apple Retail Executive Relations person that was genuinely concerned about my misreable experience.

I related all of the failed attempts to use my Apple Card to no avail. Then after reading the best forum on everything...MacRumors...learned about others having trouble using their AC. I then switched to another card and the transaction went through in 10 seconds. I told him that I was extremely disappointed since I was pre-approved for the upgraded and had so much trouble. I expected to receive my new iPhone on 9/24, and by the time I used another card, delivery went to 10-6/10-11.

He offered no promises, but said that he would do everything that he could to see I was taken care of.

He emailed me his personal contact information and said that he would be back in contact to me no later than 8:00 pm on Monday.

When I sent the email I was just frustrated and had NO expectation that I would hear from anyone at Apple.
As I posted earlier today, my delivery went from the 10/6-10/11 to 9/24-10/4 last night. Then overnight it went to being delivered on launch day!

While looking at the original confirmation email from Apple, it said that it would be "Standard Delivery".

Checking my status on the Apple store app, it now says "Express Delivery". Status still shows preparing to ship.

The Apple representative called me today to make sure that I would get my new iPhone on Friday and that they were able to "make sure that I was satisfied". I asked him about the fact that it had not shipped yet, and he said that the delivery is not until Friday, I wouldn't see anything until tomorrow or possibly Thursday.

Cannot say enough about the response and service that Apple has provided!

Hi All! I am part of the 6:05 crew. Just curious if anyone part of 6:05 has been able to get out of China or show any movement since 6:05. Starting to get a bit concerning. In years past, have we ever had phones leave this late for launch day? Go Team 605!

I don't buy Apple cases either. I usually buy them and then return them. I'm an Amazon shopper and will occasionally try a brand people rave about (Peel this year). I bought the Wisteria this year because the purple is pretty, but I'm waiting until I get the phone to decide if it will be a keeper.

My husband bought one of the Otterbox cases with the pop sockets built in. It goes flat into the case, so it's non-obtrusive.
The Apple silicon case I had was nice, I has used that primarily. The California poppy yellow leather or whatever it was called never got used. The lucky next owner of my iPhone 12PM got that as well as the well used silicon blue Apple case "free" with the phone. The other case was a Walmart clear and a Shpigen ( Spigen in German ) clear case. Funny how they went yellow just without even being used or touched. Almost as if they oxidize when unboxed.

Yes. Because even if it was to depart China on Thursday (China Standard Time), it will arrive in the US on Thursday evening and we'll still get it. I remember few years back, mine left ZZ on Thursday and arrived at my place on Friday.

For those curious about phones from carriers, I did my wife’s upgrade through Verizon and just got shipping notification in FedEx. They are already state side!!!!

6:05 here.
STILL not overly concerned right now.

I posted earlier about last years 12 Pro Max, Absolutely zero movement, total stall ("preparing to ship" status) until mid day Wednesday.

Thurs, get the official "Shipped" status from Apple-UPS - although many of us already have a tracking number

It arrived in my hands Fri. morning.

So no panic yet on my end. If we're still sitting, not moving anywhere this time tomorrow night, well, then, we'll see what happens.

Wow! Talk about some amazing customer service!

How good are these with drops? I have usually purchased Spigen Hybrid clear cases.
I suppose they’re ok, but I haven’t had a serious drop with my iphone. They protect the back and sides from minor knocks and dings, but I wouldn’t be too trusting of, say, dropping the iphone onto concrete. I mostly carry my iphone without a case, but I use these when I’m exercising or working in the yard.
