I preordered phone right when i was able. Delivery date still listed as 9/24 but it hasnt shipped yet. any reason to be worried?

When not shipped, talking Apple.com or you still can't find it on UPS?

If on apple.com, it won't change to shipped until tomorrow post-import scan.

If you can't find it on UPS, it is also possible the phone allocated to you is already stateside.

I traded in in person at the store when I picked up my iPhone 12 Pro last year. I got this email within a couple of hours of dropping off at the store:

I thought returning in person was faster? I think after mailing it in, it could take a few days before they process the trade-in? Apple might have changed things this year though.😬

I’m going to trade it in in-store then. Initially the rep said I was unable to turn it in the store and has to be shipped only until I corrected saying that you can on the website.

Since everyone basically works at UPS now, would my iPhone be going from SDF to JFK or SDF to EWR? I live in Brooklyn, NY. I don't remember where it goes before coming to me!! I'm looking at the outgoing flights for tonight and tomorrow. 🤓

How about this? Ordered right at launch last Friday, still have the “Preparing to Ship” message on Apple, and UPS shows only this:

On the Way Estimated delivery: Check back tomorrow for an updated delivery date.

Seems a bit… unpromising.

Try going after 24 hours, they most likely won't move until Thursday when they break down the packages. And clear customs. I doubt you will see movement until then.

Does anyone have any guesses or have the flight numbers when we will leave Kentucky for Los Angeles?

More than likely we’ll see SDF -> ONT. That won’t happen until tomorrow morning. There’s 42 flights from Louisville to Ontario, so it’s very much who knows which flight. We’ll be able to track it once our scans are in preflight.

You probably won't see Apple update the status to Shipped until tomorrow. Is your status "Preparing to Ship"? If so, you should be getting your iPhone on Friday! A lot of fans are tracking our iPhones from Asia to our homes, but we all have the Apple status of "Preparing to Ship".

Apple.com will not update until it clears customs. Happy to help you get the full tracking number if you want to see shipment progress before apple sends it to you.
