So i tracked it using the methods here for UPS. i am leaving friday afternoon for my gfs house for the weekend, so i wanted to have it rerouted to the closest UPS location. It doesnt let you do a hold at location, but you can have it rerouted for $5.99. So i paid the $5.99, it showed a CVS location a mile away to select, and as soon as payment went thru, it says not available for this package! So i just got hustled for $5.99 by UPS


also, i could have sworn i did a free hold at UPS center for a few past iphones and picked them up early friday morning before work, but it doesnt let you do that at all now

as a side note, UPS mychoice might be the most user-unfriendly professional website in existence. Error messages all over the place, and i had to use google just to find some pages

I spoke with another Apple Rep in regards to turning in your iPhone for the trade-in and was recommended to ship it with the carrier rather than turning it in-store because the store won’t ship it right away as they usually do it in bulk shipments — possibly having it not processed in time or whatever. So, to have it processed quicker, I was advised to ship it with the box that they provide.

Anyone else have experience turning in their iPhone for trade-in in store vs shipping?

I traded in in person at the store when I picked up my iPhone 12 Pro last year. I got this email within a couple of hours of dropping off at the store:

I thought returning in person was faster? I think after mailing it in, it could take a few days before they process the trade-in? Apple might have changed things this year though.😬

I’ve only, briefly, been resting my eyes to avoid screen burn.

I've had both lenses replaced (one replaced twice), both retinas lasered up, and all vitreous humor removed. Monitors don't bother me. 👍

Dispute that charge with you CC for sure! Try calling and chatting with UPS support as they may be able to help you out faster than My Choice. I agree, it is a mess of a website haha

Your phone is likely already in SDF. The order tracking won't reflect this until getting the import scan. Then all of a sudden it will show in SDF and a bunch of scans that weren't there will now be there.

This happened last year. Expect the floodgates of scans into SDF to show up tomorrow probably around 4-5 PM eastern if I recall last year.

No reason to worry. Perfectly normal. It actually has been shipped but Apple won’t update your status until tomorrow.
