Me too! I’m so bummed. I’ve been waiting all weekend now. I went to work on Friday in a bad mood once I found out my phone was delayed. Usually Fridays feel so good, as do the weekends, but this bad news just put a damper on it.

So my experience was that my brother and I both preordered our phones within 2-3 minutes of the Apple store opening up last Friday. As with everyone else, our phones started moving from China to Anchorage to Louisville. Then both of our phone went to Oak Creek, WI facility. All of our scans were at the same times. So my brother’s phone then moves to the destination facility, but mine still was in Oak Creek. Eventually, it said “Due to operating conditions your package may be delayed.” Then my ship date was rescheduled to Monday. Ahhhhhhhh!

How is it even possible for two phones to come all the way from China to within 50 miles of our houses together, but then mine doesn’t make it the last 50 miles with my brother’s? Crazy!

To everyone in the Monday Club, we’re not far away from our delayed iPhone 13 day. Good luck to all of you. I hope we all get our iPhones today. I have to work at 2 pm. The website says delivery window is 10:45 am to 2:45 pm. We’ll see!

I feel your pain. Mine also made it all the way from China at a rapid clip and then ended up just a few miles away at 8:45am on the scheduled delivery date. Yet it’s still in UPS jail. We shall see if it gets screwed up even beyond the Monday Club.

UPS Fail!

Yes, the Plus/Max models do rotate to landscape mode; however, some apps will only operation in portrait mode. If, I’m mistaken in this, someone else can jump in.
You are correct. Some developers only allow a single screen orientation.

Thanks for relating your case to me. Good luck!

My issue was that I emailed UPS to request a hold for pickup at my local UPS Customer Center. My phone was processing at the CC at 5:05 am on Friday but the notification to hold wasn't received until 8:16 am. My phone was not ready for pickup on Friday, with vague references to "Maybe Monday."

I called the central UPS number this morning and was told that there were issues with some of the Apple orders on Friday and that my phone is ready for pickup this morning. I really hope so, because I don't want to make any more trips to the CC. I ceratinly won't do this again next year (it has worked great in past years). I'll either wait for home delivery or pick it up at an Apple store.

If you’re referring to the homescreen (like the older Plus phones did), no… the Max phones do not. Certain apps will rotate and possibly utilize multi-panels (e.g. Settings, Mail, Messages, etc.) but not the homescreen itself.
I think one of the older Plus phones did initially but that was a bug that was quickly corrected by Apple.

Sounds just like mine. Can I ask what city? Mine has also not updated from processing at 5:05am on Friday and I'm in Maryland.

That’s a bummer. I had no issues with CC pickup for several launches but then issues for my 12 last year and the iPad Pro this year. I just waited on home delivery this launch.

Wow! What a runaround! I feel your pain. It must’ve been extremely frustrating knowing that the phone was at the facility, but they wouldn’t let you pick it up. I’m sure you’ll get it today if it has been at the facility all weekend.

Mine is out for delivery as I speak so it’s looking promising.

My tracking hasn't updated since Friday morning at 5am. How about yours?

My UPS locals apparently have a Time Machine. It hadn’t updated from “Processing at local sorting facility” all day on Friday since 8:45am. Since the delivery was supposed to happen by 7pm I was looking at it right at 7pm with great disappointment and it magically updated right before my eyes that at 8:45am it was “Out for Delivery” rather than the ‘processing’ it had shown all day. And to top that off it suddenly said a driver had attempted delivery at 7:00pm but I wasn’t there to receive it. I was sitting staring at the empty driveway when this occurred.

A friend who was with me at the time said that this very thing had happened to her in the past and that it’s UPS covering their tracks so that their on time delivery rate with Apple stays on the acceptable side of things. It’s a despicable practice if you ask me.

I spent an hour trying to complain to apple and got transferred 3 times, each time to someone whose level of English was a little worse than the last, and got nowhere. Went to the CC 8 miles away where my packages were supposedly in jail on Saturday and no one was there.

Now a card carrying member of the Monday Club, hopefully that doesn’t get downgraded to the Tuesday Club here today.

UPS can take a long walk off a short pier.

The 6 and 6S Plus had the option for Landscape Home Screen; it was not a bug. It was a rather poor implementation (of a novelty to show off the larger screen) and jarring to go back and forth. I don’t know when they dropped it officially, but you just had to have your icons in non-zoom mode. I remember there being complaints that the X didn’t rotate, even though the screen was bigger than the Plus models.

I totally feel your pain. Despite the processing scan on 9/24at 5:05am, mine showed out for delivery all day by 7pm and then switched back to processing at around 7:15pm. Although the package shows processing at the local facility, all agents have told me is that my package is in transit to the facility which is basically we don't know where this package is. I am beyond pissed at this moment as I have spent so many hours over the last few days trying to locate this phone. I am just gonna show up today after work and hope its there.

I have seen this occur with UPS and other sources such as Amazon, etc. I do think it's a convenient way to convey, "UPS is doing everything they possibly can to deliver your package." It's me staring into the empty space, knowing there was no attempt on that day or hour or moment, and it's a shame they simply don't fess up. "We're running late and could not deliver your package today. We're sorry and will try again tomorrow," or something similar, would make me feel a bit better.

And no, it's not just UPS that does this. Still, UPS has usually done well for me.

I hope you get your phone today.

UPS CC told me on Friday that my iPhone was across the street in their warehouse. Today they tell me it's on a trailer in Louisville.

Time to make some phone calls. Enough is enough.

I stand corrected. I could have sworn it was a bug that Apple corrected later in the year.

Just returned from my UPS CC. After telling me on Friday that my phone was in their warehouse across the street, they tell me this morning that it's still in Louisville. WHHHAAAAA...?

On hold to talk to UPS International Shipping now. I've been very patient, but now I'm pissed.
