Sierra Blue Pro 256GB, Delivery date 9/24, used Apple Card for 3% cashback and 24 month 0%

Pre-pre-order I did yesterday worked the second time I clicked the link to complete. First time simply dumped me into the store. Had to log in with 2FA both times. Web site very slow.

Great success!

Well it took til 5 past until my iPhone apple store app came online, ipad took another 3 or more minutes and safari on Mac never made it. Anyway clicked to complete order on my 13 ProMax 1TB graphite (AT&T) and of course as expected had to reverify my card info — no Apple Card. At that point it said delivery on 9/24! That took less than minute since I was ready for that this year and order was done and it had slipped already to October 6-11 for me. Well thats normal. I find about half the time i miss opening day because of such probably choosing the model they had least of or something. Wow I guess they did not make many of the 1TB in my config or something. It is interesting some on threads in forums got their 1TB graphite later and for 9/24 but not for me. But mine was a AT&T model not an unassigned phone perhaps the difference? One well.

I got my IPhone 13 Pro for next Friday.
Question though. I selected in store pick up (at least I think I did 🤪) Order says Standard Delivery.

does that mean I didn’t get in store pickup? (Never pre ordered direct from Apple).
If you selected a pickup window and it shows in your confirmation with the store then you have it. Check your email as well.

You should double check. I swore I picked apple care plus theft/loss and knew my monthly payment would be $62, I saw $58 on my screen but didn’t correct it because I wanted to keep my store pickup, I already had tried in the morning and got rejected.

that’s to say, mine shows the store and also the window time, so if you didn’t select this then I’m doubtful… but then again I’m in the Bay Area and it’s pretty standard but it might be different in your area.

I ordered the 256 GB sierra blue Pro Max. I usually always get the silver but I just really like the light blue for some reason. Ordered it within seconds of availability and got the September 24 arrival date. :) It’s been fun but I think I’m going to stop getting a new one every year after this phone.

Ugh... Got through checkout and Apple Pay said "Payment not completed" and store said "Done" and now I cant get back in.
Same thing happened to me, using Apple Pay (didn’t use my apple card, but a different card). Got the ‘processing your order’ email notification while Apple Pay was spinning/processing, and then got an error message. I went to order status once and it wasn’t there but now is.

FWIW, my wife ordered around same time (using same card linked to ApplePay) and processed fine. Still wasn’t on the order status page but then was.

I’m hoping my order went through!

In the upgrade program for years. Did the pre-order. My AppleCard had various errors...declined, timed out, required reentering card number. Figured the Apple Store was just bogged down. Thank goodness for the people on this forum. I put in a different card and my order then went through without a problem.

I've been using my AppleCard for the payments in the past. I don't remember having an issue with it last year. Maybe because it's an early upgrade and I have to pay off the last month.
Must be their naughty way of deterring people from using that payment method. I've read many posts about your occurrence since Apple store reopened.

Has anyone run in to the issue where paying with Apple Pay returned "Payment not processed", but still ended up getting an order confirmation? I did Apple Pay on my phone to my Chase Visa.. I got an order confirmation and it shows in my account -- but Wallet doesnt show an authorization and after contacting Chase, they told me they did not get an auth request from Apple nor do they show any declines. Tried contacting Apple via iMessage and someone was helping me - but then it said "Due to heavy volume, unable to help at this time"

Yeah I’m not sure why this is so hard to believe. I only have 31GB used on my 12 pro right now lmao
It just seems as though you might be paying for a lot of pro features and not fully taking advantage of them. Which is, of course, your prerogative. Those of us at the other end of the storage spectrum seem to be asked frequently to justify why we need so much space, but I'm wringing every dollar of value from the hardware I'm purchasing.

I’ve been a part of IUP for years with no issues. Don’t even know what to do right now, lol.
I’m horrible. I would have ordered the phone anyways to get it, then figure out with citizen what’s going on. Could be a glitch, could be the fraud alert/freeze you forgot about… but then I would have return that and reuse it for the iPhone up. I know they have a policy for not reselling a phone that is returned even in new box condition (fears) but I would have asked if they can get the manager to approve since I am both return and purchaser.

How cute, the Apple Store app wouldn’t accept my Apple credit card info at checkout. I tried it 4 times before giving up and using my regular credit card. That means Apple jipped me out of $6 in 3% cash back on an Apple purchase for no good reason. What gives Apple?

Maybe they didn’t want to dish out 3% cash back for everyone’s early upgrade fees.

Seems like it was fortuitous to NOT get the Apple Card for this purchase.

Anyone know if someone would be able to cancel their IUP pre order at any point?

I know it sounds silly but I’m having buyers remorse for the first time in years and am debating cancelling. Hmm

I ordered with Amex (not via Apple Pay) and there is no authorization on the card, but the order has been confirmed. I don’t think they hit the card until they ship.

Actually I think you can do whatever with the phone as long as you keep AT&T service for the full 3 years. I skipped that and went to the apple installment plan so I can switch carriers anytime I want.

I checked on this in store yesterday and was specifically told the money comes off monthly to get the $1000 one must stay thru the 36 months.

You are free to do what you want earlier but you won’t see the full amount. That’s all I’m talking about. Keeping a plan doesn’t entitle you to the money as it’s tied to the phone according to corporate store. Which makes sense.

it’s not $6…if you spent $1751 thats $52 not $104.
